Just finished EP1.

Not bad. It's a nice introduction and a decent focus on the two characters taking their first steps to being an idol.

I'm pretty sure each new girl will get their own focus from this point on.

I did find it amusing how Rin kind of echoed Maki's 1st refusal to Honoka in S1, but with more words and similar tsun.

I like her already.

Cinderella Girls looks to be its own story, so no need to know the original Idolm@ster to watch it. You'll get more kicks out of the various background references if you do know Idolm@ster beforehand, but they're not plot essential references so there's nothing lost.

I got swept away in the boat, and I'm not above pulling more people to come aboard myself. Just that I can't convince people.

I have an epiphany regarding this kind of fad, but that's irrelevant to this series for the time being. One that will probably take time for this week to pass (and possibly another) for me to have an answer to.

Then again I salute those who dared to give (their) Producers a depiction.

I just saw that on a JP streaming site and I lol'd when the voice said "Did you know? Every girl has a dream" at the beginning and a bunch of いや知らん / 知らん / 知らんかったわ comments popped up which basically mean "nope, didn't know".

I just saw the first episode yesterday, and I was very surprised how well the introduction was and didn't felt overwhelmed by introducing all the characters. I'm just worry how this series is going to go at. There are too many characters in this series, and I just hope it focuses on the main group more often as the main plot device.

Am I the only one who thought the new producer was kinda creepy and stalkerish? Imagine if someone did what he did in real life to some random high school girl. Pretty sure the cops would be called.

They did call the cops on him more or less. Only reason he wasn't taken is was because the girl he was "stalking" stood up for him

The first episode was really good. I wonder if this can outsell Love Live since the reception for the first episode has been extremely positive so far.

Honestly, I don't think it can hit the heights that LL has with it's mainstream popularity (both in Japan and overseas). It will do as well as iM@S proper and will make a reasonable amount of sales.
