Chips AAAAAAAaahhhhhoooy! It's Kira's time to shine. Can he shine? He thinks he can. He is got that serious look that can be, either, interpretted as someone on the edge, or, suffering from constipation. It's probably the latter. I wonder what Gin, the delicious Gin, thinks.

Kira's opponent sounds very enthusiastic and high on caffine. coffee... as Sean Connery would say, "Offer ME a coffee." I think I'll like this dude also, probably not as much as Charlotte on his tutu, but hey... that's not a fair comparison to begin with.

I have to admit that Kira has one of the most impressive swords out there. His zanpanktuo could be matched with some of the captains.

Yeh I know, but it is not like they have shown the body without head or how the head was actually falling off. It all was in shadows

But I have to admit that I didn't read this part in manga,so maybe it was shown the same way there

Then Kubo had censored it before animation team

Well only problem might be Yamamoto, Ukitake, Shunsui, Syakuya and Soi Fon since they have high speed. Don't think he will be able to catch up with any of them

Mayuri could poison him... Tousen would make him blind...

But the rest are definetly doomed

Never underestimate Kira-kun "The Beheader"

His sword with that hook like shape is perfect for positioning it under the neck and just pull back and watch the head go off!

I guess that each has his own strenght and weaknesses , imagine Tousen lossing to Kenpachi back then... but what if Ichigo ran into Tousen first ? during the SS arc

To add to that list would be Yumichika.... More than Kira shikai, the kido spell he pulled off was much more impressive IMO . The fanart sums up the episode : )

Oooo... a decapitation video. Bleach is on the right track. The tapes should surface any minute now... teh-heh.

Kira is pure anti-shounen. His very existence screams despondency and despair. Even his last line after the beheading, prior to sheathing his sword, he says,

"sayonara, sora no senshi. deki re ba boku wo... yuresa nai de hoshi." rough translation: "good bye warrior of the sky. If possible, do not forgive me."

This is one seriously sorry dude who is standing on the ledge, contemplating the last moments of his thoughts, right before the inevitable step on the air is taken to his subsequent self-inflicted doom. Just in case I've lost a reader, I'm saying he is suicidal.

If Kira is measured by an emo-gauge, I'm sure it will read, "he is over 9000!" Yay! I've inserted a popular saying in my post without losing relevancy.

This is one of the most anti-climactic Bleach episode I've seen in a while. The music was just as terrible. Why do they insist on torturing with those horrible noises composed in those filler/anime-original arc is beyond me. Ummm.. never mind.. I got it. Torturing is fun.

Preview for the next episode promises some good movements and background art. I don't think I've seen mr. 69 in any fight, so his ability should be something new to look forward to.

P.S. Kira's ability, while it is unique, it has too many weak points, especially from an enemy who already knows what that ability might be. As long as his opponent doesn't get hit, Kira's attacks are limited to his kidou/hadou. Match up also may cause problem as demonstrated in his fight against Matsumoto. Kira is lucky his opponent wasn't Charlotte.

Feels like this was the first good episode of Bleach in a while. Hopefully it's gonna be a trend. 2 down, 2 to go.

I haven't really liked Kira's character until now but after this episode he moved up a bunch of spots. The shape of his zanpakuto always seemed lame but it now I see it's the only shape it could be.
