They're changing the ending animation seasonally, and with episode 6, we got Spring. There are 5 more episodes, the first 5 were Autumn (2) and Winter (3). It makes sense to me that this means they're planning to only show the first year, maybe pad out summer with some anime-only scenes, a bit like how Ep6 had a longer scene with Rin and Kouki's first time walking to school on their own. |

Yup, Episode 7 airs this Thursday, and it's supposed to be 12 episodes long.

I'm also the one hoping the anime won't take 10 years time-skip.
I think it's better if they make original 'ending' for the anime without the time-skip. Or better, original story since you know, there's so much thing they can explore with. Maybe a new year festival episode, going to the beach episode, christmas episode, parent-kid school sport festival episode, etc :\

oh please no. I don't see the problem with the ending. Sure it's a bit weird but other then that?
Rin was already 6 years old so she knew that Daikichi isn't her real father which means that she can see him as just another man that takes care of her. Which she did in the end. |

It's true that the ending is a bit weird but I like it. It's not like it's coming from nowhere.
For Rin, it has been, at least, hinted since chapter 40 or something lilke that. For Daikishi, what he said in the last chapter is perfectly understandable. You can't supress 10 years like that but during these 2 years he also started seeing her as a woman that he loves. In the end, what's really important is that they're happy togther. Who care about the rest ? Who care if it's not something common ? Who has the right to say that they should not do it ? What's really important is how they feel for each other and what's sure is that for Rin no one is more important than Daikishi. She can't live without him. It's the same for Daikishi. So it's an happy ending for them and that's all matter. |

Don't remind me. Whenever I picture Rin saying " I want to carry Daikichi's child" I just see flash backs of them pre time skip and I start to foam at the mouth. It sorta ruins both Rin and Daikichi's characters for me. Especially Daikichi. He should of told Rin to man up and take her ass to college, but instead he's cool with eventually banging the chick he's been raising since she was 6 years old. Good for him I guess.

God damn Hikaru Genji and his nefarious plots. It seems that every manga I read lately has a Genji plot in it somewhere and it's wigging me out. Maybe the Japanese have never heard of the Westermark effect, but mine is firmly developed and it just gives me the squicks.
