Only seen the episode raw, but the last minutes of the episode ending is actually anime original, at least as far as the same point in the LN, though they ended it with the high possibility of a Second Season.

this series is as close to perfect as you can get with a single cour, the characters are great, i would put sora in the same group as lelouch(CG), light(DN), and shiroe(LH), the animation was great, and those references, if there was any anime this season that deserved a second season its this one

Good job to Sora and Shiro for making Stephanie Dola useful at the very last minute. What a cherry-tap way for Blank on defeating Izuna and the Eastern Federation! GG, Warbeasts!
Now then, I'll be excited for Sora and Shiro on beating gods... but I guess that will be saved for another season! Good job Madhouse! |

Damn this series only be a 12 episode season? Why are the best shows always this short? :P
Anyways, now there's a void left in my Wednesday schedule. Will be hard to find a replacement for this show. Sword Art Online II is coming in July, but honestly that show isn't even in the same ball park in quality as this one. This show has some issues (though minor in my opinion), but at least the story/character direction isn't as f***ked up as SAO was during it's second half. :P Will be waiting for a second season. They better deliver, especially with how they ended this one.

After all that teasing of Steph's uselessness, she was the reason they won the match. Perfect way to redeem one's self. 10/10 from me, this is so far my favorite anime of the year. Season 2 better come next year. I don't want to wait too long for more Shiro x Izuna!
The ending was definitely interesting, I wonder what the intention with that was (aside from possibly hyping up a s2 already).

That is some insurance right there. Happy Steph finally got her moment. The Shrine Priestess is smoking hot! Overall excellent episode and great series Season two will be much appreciated.

That was a lot of fun. Can be said about this episode and the series as a whole.
Some shows just know how to make themselves fun and this was one of them. You knew Steph was going to be key at some point in this game and they finally figured a good way to use her presence. Defeated Izuna with a hilarious strategy and in the end it all worked out. Despite the build up things went pretty smoothly with the Priestess as well. The one advantage that the warbeasts had was the secrecy of their game and once that was lost they were already defeated. The old King really did give them enough to instantly checkmate the Eastern Federation. In the end the result is one that I think everyone can live with. Imanity gets territory back and now have an alliance that can help them in building themselves up. The warbeasts will keep their rights and now have an ally that actually toppled them. Things are set up well for the future if they make a second season. If not this was a pretty fun ride and can say I fully enjoyed it. Though could always use more Shiro x Izuna-tan .
