I hope I haven't lurked too long to be out of the loop, but this OP ficlet idea sounds like fun. I've been following the 6th division fics rather religiously even so, though. Just that I'm not fluent enough to give the glowing review which is fully justified and, if I dare say required.

“We…” Nanoha was nervous. So did Fate, Hayate and Keroko. She gulped, nervously fiddled with her fingers. She unsure of whether to tell him the truth or simply go and lie.

She had to.

“We… we lost it.”

Hikki’s eyes widened. “You… you lost it?”

The Aces uneasily nodded.

As if on reflex, Hikki stood up and slammed his palms on the desk. Elisa squealed in surprise and almost fell onto the floor. The female Aces backed off in shock at the reaction. “What do you mean you lost it?!” he questioned in high tone.

“We’re very sorry, Hikki! We thought we could keep it like you asked,” Nanoha apologized and gulped. “But you don’t have to yell at us like that…”

“You’re scary…!” Fate gasped. Hayate and Keroko nodded to agree, and proceeded to go behind Fate.

Again Hikki slammed the desk. It shook so violently some of the stationeries fell off the table. “Where has your responsibility gone to? I thought you would take a great care of Fuuko like you promised! Look what you’ve done!” he yelled. “Do you ever realize how precious Fuuko as a protected species really is? You treat it just like any other cats, but you never want to learn something or two from it!”

“Hikki, please calm down…” Elisa reminded.

The young director of 271st Special Operation Unit shook his head. “Damn. I can’t let anybody harm Fuuko. This incident must not be allowed to happen.” He glowered at the Aces, giving them the sense of fear they never thought to see from him. “Nanoha, Keroko, Fate, Hayate, because you were responsible over the disappearance, you must help me find it.” He, then, turned to Elisa. “I entrust you to assist them.”

“Yes, Hikki,” Elisa nodded.

“Eh? Why us?” the girls protested. “You’re Fuuko-chan’s master, right?”

Hikki batted an eyebrow upward. “Because you girls said you like cuddling it. And Fuuko seems to be interested towards you. Right?”

“Ah-hahahahahahah…” they laughed silly and sighed in surrender. “Haii, Hikki…”

The Aces saluted and left the office. Hikki slumped back onto the chair and wiped sweats off his face. “…I think I went a bit off the edge,” he mumbled and took a very deep breath. “I shouldn’t yell at the girls…”

Thanks for taking my suggestion! Though I'd like Kimi ga Matteiru Kara for credits roll instead of Love Letter though.
I was thinking more along the lines of an insert if Love Letter were used, Utawarerumono's Kimi ga Tame-style, fits very well with the sentimentality in-fic.
But ah well, I'm not the one undertaking this grand task, so I'll shut up now.

Actually if we look back at Nanoha's record of OP/ED combinations, Metamorphoze/Love Letter would be way more suitable.

The one I had stated was just my personal preference, that's all. Or maybe listening to too much RISING FORCE was clouding my mind. Just having Gackt in it would be awesome enough already.

“It's really fun,” She talked around nibbling on her kabob. “We stay up late sometimes and talk a lot.”

“Yeah,” Lutecia wiped her mouth off after attacking her food. “It is the most fun I've had as long as I can remember.”

Nanoha smiled to herself. “Now we just need to get Elio-kun a room mate so he won't be lonely.”

Caro shook her head. “Don't worry, we don't let him get lonely.”

“Oh?”

Lutecia nodded in agreement. “We normally stay with him once a week each.”

“Ohhhh?” She looked over at Elio, who was still munching his food. “And what do you do when you're together, all alone, and no one knowing where you are?”

“We sleep with each other,” Caro replied happily, making Nanoha spit out her drink. “Are you okay!?”

The woman coughed Several times, wiping her mouth off quickly before taking to trying to get her sprayed juice out of a grossed out Elio's hair. “That's not what I thought you'd say.” She shook her head. 'Clearly my mind is just in the gutter...' Turning to look back at Caro, she continued. “Sleeping together huh? Sounds fun?”

She nodded. “The first time was a little uncomfortable but once we learned how to position ourselves it was really nice.” The girl looked at Nanoha's shocked expression. “Mommy?”

“I...um...” She shook her head. “I'm sorry, I just got lost in thought... Ne, Elio-kun, what do you think about this...?”

He blinked and looked up at her a moment before answering around his meal. “I don't mind. Although when they double team me I'm more exhausted than anything else.”

The purple haired girl blushed. “I'm sorry, do we keep you up too long? I know I tend to squirm too much.”

“I'll be right back,” Nanoha stood up and walked away from them, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Caro giggled. “Sleeping at night is fun, but random naps in the day are good too.”

Ha ha ha. Nanoha's mind is deep in the gutter . They're ten-year-olds (well, Lutecia's 12 but still), how could she think of stuff like that?. Oi Satashi, I'm starting to notice that you like to give things double meaning. Am I wrong?

Honestly, I'm not sure if I should be sorry or be proud of Elio . Two girls? And by the looks of it, Caro is pretty agressive once she grows up

double meanings are fun. You can appeal to both sides of the spectrom. If you want to think they are doing naughty things you can, but if you don't want to, it's clear they're not. Plus it's always an easy way to get free laughs. To me, a pure comedy is characters doing things they wouldn't normally do, which makes it funny. So I normally take hints from 4koma and stuff. Chrono being a perv, Caro wanting to jump Elio's bones, Fate drooling over Nanoha, ect.

And this is in the "behind section six" story.

‘Watching them train below reminded me of the days when we were all aboard the Asura. There was never enough space to do what we wanted so we ended up improvising, just like what these kids are doing. Well, not really kids. I wonder how everyone is doing. It’s been awhile since Chrono or any of the other enforcers aboard the Asura have been back to HQ. Then again, Chrono’s an Admiral now and the others are probably stuck in staff jobs now.’

“Sir, we’ve finished up our final training session for this week. Is there anything else to be done today?” Isamu’s voice shook me out of my memories.

“No, that’s all for today”. They saluted, snapping to attention, “Spellblades, you’ve earned yourselves 2 days of rest. Enjoy yourselves.” I returned their salute and they filed out of the complex, excited about their unexpected leave.

“Hey, wanna go see a movie later?”

“Hmm, what’s on?”

Their voices grew fainter as they moved further away. Nothing’s changed much in the last 10 years. ‘I would have trained in this very room at some point.’ Looking around the room, memories of those times came back to him. Although the walls betrayed no signs of any accidents, he knew that many had occurred. In fact he and the rest of the team had punched holes into the walls at various times throughout training. One incident had been so bad that they had been banned from training for a week and when they had been allowed back, only the very basics could be used within the compound for another 2 months. As I walked through the doors, triggering the locks I opened a communications channel back to base. “William, could you confirm that the 108th are still able to skirmish with us next week.”

“Yes, sir. Is there anything else needed for the exercise?”

“Just resubmit our forms to HQ regarding the training. I don’t want to arrive next week and get stopped during the exercise because they think it hasn’t been cleared.”

“Understood, have a good weekend sir.”

“Thanks, you too.”

Beep…. Beep….Beep….

‘Bloody hell.’ Glancing over at the wall, I could just make out the arms of the clock. 3 o’clock. ‘This better be good.’ Reaching out, I activated the communications array.

“Sorry for waking you captain, but we won’t be able to meet our commitment next week. A sudden fire has started on AW42, we’ve been asked to help evacuate the population in the fires path and to help fight the blaze.”

“Do you need any assistance?”

“Not at this moment. Regardless, if we do another ground battalion will be sent to reinforce us. We can’t afford to have enforcer’s involved in disaster relief, not at this time.”

“All right, I’ll see you when you get back then.” The screen glowed blue, its harsh light casting shadows throughout the room. Shit, what the hell am I going to do about Tuesday’s exercise? Bringing up the list of units stationed nearby, I began to search. This is not the start to the day that I was hoping for….

‘Gah. This is hopeless. Looks like I’ll have to re-schedule the exercise for another time.’
The sun’s rays shone through the window piercing the display. I rose stiffly from my chair, stretching out. Moving towards the kitchen, I pulled the screens across letting the light of the sun warm the room. The toll of my abnormal awakening and the work I’ve done since then was starting to kick in. ‘Maybe I’ll just take a short nap…’

The sun was setting in the distance. I wiped the sweat off my forehead, stopping to watch it’s descent, disappearing from us for another day. It had been a tough day but they were making progress. Meia, Juliet and I had been able to hold out against the rest of the squad attacking simultaneously for one barrage. Their second had punched through their shields though, leaving a 3 metre hole in the room’s wall.

“Oy Myr, you coming. We’re all heading down to KK’s to get a drink and some food.”

“Yeah, sounds good. One round of drinks on me. We did a good job today!”

Ding Dong.

“Woot!! Thanks Myr!”

Ding Dong.

‘Huh, where am I?’ Light flickered around me, the yellow of the sun combining with reflections from within my apartment. I slowly got up, legs weak. ‘Looks like I fell asleep.’

Ding Dong.

It finally registered in my mind that someone was at the door. “Coming, just a sec.”

Activating the controls I checked the door camera. Meia was waiting outside. As I opened the door remotely, time in the bottom corner of the display caught my eye. 1522. ‘Holy crap I was out for that long.’

“Myr, you feeling okay? I tried calling before to see if you wanted to go somewhere for lunch but you didn’t answer any of my calls.”

“Yeah, I’m fine now. Had a rough morning. Did you want anything to eat or drink. I’m just having lunch now.”

“Just some water thanks, had lunch on the way here. I’ll help you cook, you don’t look too good.”

“Thanks a lot, I owe you one.”

“So the 108th have been called away and you need to find another group for the skirmish?”

“Yep. Only problem is none of the units who would give the Blades a challenge have time next week.”

“Hmm, that is a problem….” Meia began scrolling through the unit list. “Hey I haven’t seen this one before. Myr have you heard of them? Mobile Division 6.”

“They’re a new unit, recently got formed to go after Lost Logia. That’s all I know of them.”

“Lost Logia ka….” Data flew across the screen as she looked for the squad composition.

I sighed, “Looks like we’ll have to put the exercise off until the 108th get back.”

Pointing at the screen, “Maybe not, these guys look like they’ll prove a challenge” Meia said.

Rotating the screen around, I quickly skimmed over the info. “4 mages of B rank? How are they supposed to be a challenge?” I asked.

“Mou…” I knew that look… It always appeared when I had just done or was about to do something stupid. “Read the data carefully and tell me who’s in charge.” She reached out and tapped the screen, changing what was displayed.

Looking back at the display it suddenly hit me. “Lightning One, Fate Tesstarossa Halaown.”

“Not only that, the commander of the unit is Yagami Hayate, while the commander of the other squad is the..”

“..Ace of Aces, Takamachi Nanoha,” I finished. “This is incredible, she even managed to get all of her knights into the unit as well.”

“It’ll be a good challenge for them. Their ranking might be lower than the Blades, but they’ve been training under the best that we have. Who knows what sort of tricks they have up their sleeves. If they’re worried, just let one of the aces join in. Come on Myr, this is the best bet on getting this exercise done this week.”

She stopped suddenly and looked at me. I suddenly became very afraid of what she was about to say next. Her expression was just that evil.

“Plus this is a perfect chance to see Fate again. Who know maybe she still remembers us. ”

‘Phew safe..’

“Just make sure you don’t tell her that you had a crush on her when we were working with her, damm loli-con.” She grinned, laughing out loud.

Now that’s just going too far…. I exploded, raising my voice, “I didn’t have a crush on her!!”

“Sure you didn’t…” She rolled her eyes and continued, “What was with the ‘I will protect you speech on AW 22 then, huh?”

“Whatever, you’re just jealous that I get to see Fate again but you don’t get to see Chrono.” I retorted. ‘This will shut her up.’

Turning away from me, her cheeks turned red.

“Oho, what’s this? A blush…” I grinned at her, laughing in my mind at her discomfort. Holding out my hand I said, “Seriously though, truce?”

She turned back to face me, “Truce. Let’s call them now and make sure they’re free.”

“Yep. Thanks Meia.”

“No problem boss.”

‘Watching them train below reminded me of the days when we were all aboard the Asura. There was never enough space to do what we wanted so we ended up improvising, just like what these kids are doing. Well, not really kids. I wonder how everyone is doing. It’s been awhile since Chrono or any of the other enforcers aboard the Asura have been back to HQ. Then again, Chrono’s an Admiral now and the others are probably stuck in staff jobs now.’

“Sir, we’ve finished up our final training session for this week. Is there anything else to be done today?” Isamu’s voice shook me out of my memories.

“No, that’s all for today”. They saluted, snapping to attention, “Spellblades, you’ve earned yourselves 2 days of rest. Enjoy yourselves.” I returned their salute and they filed out of the complex, excited about their unexpected leave.

“Hey, wanna go see a movie later?”

“Hmm, what’s on?”

Their voices grew fainter as they moved further away. Nothing’s changed much in the last 10 years. ‘I would have trained in this very room at some point.’ Looking around the room, memories of those times came back to him. Although the walls betrayed no signs of any accidents, he knew that many had occurred. In fact he and the rest of the team had punched holes into the walls at various times throughout training. One incident had been so bad that they had been banned from training for a week and when they had been allowed back, only the very basics could be used within the compound for another 2 months. As I walked through the doors, triggering the locks I opened a communications channel back to base. “William, could you confirm that the 108th are still able to skirmish with us next week.”

“Yes, sir. Is there anything else needed for the exercise?”

“Just resubmit our forms to HQ regarding the training. I don’t want to arrive next week and get stopped during the exercise because they think it hasn’t been cleared.”

“Understood, have a good weekend sir.”

“Thanks, you too.”

Sunday

Beep…. Beep….Beep….

‘Bloody hell.’ Glancing over at the wall, I could just make out the arms of the clock. 3 o’clock. ‘This better be good.’ Reaching out, I activated the communications array.

“Sorry for waking you captain, but we won’t be able to meet our commitment next week. A sudden fire has started on AW42, we’ve been asked to help evacuate the population in the fires path and to help fight the blaze.”

“Do you need any assistance?”

“Not at this moment. Regardless, if we do another ground battalion will be sent to reinforce us. We can’t afford to have enforcer’s involved in disaster relief, not at this time.”

“All right, I’ll see you when you get back then.” The screen glowed blue, its harsh light casting shadows throughout the room. Shit, what the hell am I going to do about Tuesday’s exercise? Bringing up the list of units stationed nearby, I began to search. This is not the start to the day that I was hoping for….

‘Gah. This is hopeless. Looks like I’ll have to re-schedule the exercise for another time.’
The sun’s rays shone through the window piercing the display. I rose stiffly from my chair, stretching out. Moving towards the kitchen, I pulled the screens across letting the light of the sun warm the room. The toll of my abnormal awakening and the work I’ve done since then was starting to kick in. ‘Maybe I’ll just take a short nap…’

The sun was setting in the distance. I wiped the sweat off my forehead, stopping to watch it’s descent, disappearing from us for another day. It had been a tough day but they were making progress. Meia, Juliet and I had been able to hold out against the rest of the squad attacking simultaneously for one barrage. Their second had punched through their shields though, leaving a 3 metre hole in the room’s wall.

“Oy Myr, you coming. We’re all heading down to KK’s to get a drink and some food.”

“Yeah, sounds good. One round of drinks on me. We did a good job today!”

Ding Dong.

“Woot!! Thanks Myr!”

Ding Dong.

‘Huh, where am I?’ Light flickered around me, the yellow of the sun combining with reflections from within my apartment. I slowly got up, legs weak. ‘Looks like I fell asleep.’

Ding Dong.

It finally registered in my mind that someone was at the door. “Coming, just a sec.”

Activating the controls I checked the door camera. Meia was waiting outside. As I opened the door remotely, time in the bottom corner of the display caught my eye. 1522. ‘Holy crap I was out for that long.’

“Myr, you feeling okay? I tried calling before to see if you wanted to go somewhere for lunch but you didn’t answer any of my calls.”

“Yeah, I’m fine now. Had a rough morning. Did you want anything to eat or drink. I’m just having lunch now.”

“Just some water thanks, had lunch on the way here. I’ll help you cook, you don’t look too good.”

“Thanks a lot, I owe you one.”

“So the 108th have been called away and you need to find another group for the skirmish?”

“Yep. Only problem is none of the units who would give the Blades a challenge have time next week.”

“Hmm, that is a problem….” Meia began scrolling through the unit list. “Hey I haven’t seen this one before. Myr have you heard of them? Mobile Division 6.”

“They’re a new unit, recently got formed to go after Lost Logia. That’s all I know of them.”

“Lost Logia ka….” Data flew across the screen as she looked for the squad composition.

I sighed, “Looks like we’ll have to put the exercise off until the 108th get back.”

Pointing at the screen, “Maybe not, these guys look like they’ll prove a challenge” Meia said.

Rotating the screen around, I quickly skimmed over the info. “4 mages of B rank? How are they supposed to be a challenge?” I asked.

“Mou…” I knew that look… It always appeared when I had just done or was about to do something stupid. “Read the data carefully and tell me who’s in charge.” She reached out and tapped the screen, changing what was displayed.

Looking back at the display it suddenly hit me. “Lightning One, Fate Tesstarossa Halaown.”

“Not only that, the commander of the unit is Yagami Hayate, while the commander of the other squad is the..”

“..Ace of Aces, Takamachi Nanoha,” I finished. “This is incredible, she even managed to get all of her knights into the unit as well.”

“It’ll be a good challenge for them. Their ranking might be lower than the Blades, but they’ve been training under the best that we have. Who knows what sort of tricks they have up their sleeves. If they’re worried, just let one of the aces join in. Come on Myr, this is the best bet on getting this exercise done this week.”

She stopped suddenly and looked at me. I suddenly became very afraid of what she was about to say next. Her expression was just that evil.

“Plus this is a perfect chance to see Fate again. Who know maybe she still remembers us. ”

‘Phew safe..’

“Just make sure you don’t tell her that you had a crush on her when we were working with her, damm loli-con.” She grinned, laughing out loud.

Now that’s just going too far…. I exploded, raising my voice, “I didn’t have a crush on her!!”

“Sure you didn’t…” She rolled her eyes and continued, “What was with the ‘I will protect you speech on AW 22 then, huh?”

“Whatever, you’re just jealous that I get to see Fate again but you don’t get to see Chrono.” I retorted. ‘This will shut her up.’

Turning away from me, her cheeks turned red.

“Oho, what’s this? A blush…” I grinned at her, laughing in my mind at her discomfort. Holding out my hand I said, “Seriously though, truce?”

She turned back to face me, “Truce. Let’s call them now and make sure they’re free.”

“Yep. Thanks Meia.”

“No problem boss.”

Some feedback would be nice... I'm not used to writing how I wrote this chapter...

I definitely want to know what happens next!

It was very well written... I wouldnt say you're not used to writing. Much better than my stuff, that's for sure!

Basically, this will have Jewel Seeds included, like in Rebirth. Some unknown enemies will attack 6th Division and they cleave people in half to steal their Linker Cores. Skeith reappearing can't mean something good's going to happen. If Nanoha needs to borrow Aura's power, that means these new threats aren't to be taken lightly. Will someone in the Division suffer the 'Linker Core stealing attack'? This book should prove to be very interesting. And like Syaoran Li Clow mentioned in his review, the wedding has to be included in this story. Please?

Oh, btw: Kha is very good in trailers, so if you want help on doing one or something of the sort, I'm sure he'll be glad to help out
