I hope Miku sings a new song in the season (even though I still liked the old ones). I also wonder if she has an interest in alchemy.

So I watched this before realise it was season 4....

Very large ham and fun, is the quality in the earlier seasons fairly similar?

The pic above is Elfnein looking for Alchemy Relics that Carol was supposed to utilize for her Chateau plan.

Basically it's a relic in liquid toxic form, and kinda implies that, in a sense, (Alca)Noise are a lot like Symphogear, except sentinent.

I hope someone actually makes a Symphogear out of the Kadingir. I mean, it is technically a Relic. And you gotta use that broken shit somewhere, right?

I think the Kadingir was mostly made using modern technology. The only real relic in it was Durandel, which went missing after Hibiki used it to defeat Fine.

Durandal transfered to storage the Second Division after the fight with Fine. I wonder if we will ever see it again.

I need some time to process what I just watched. Basically the prelati are spreading heretical knowledge around to guerilla forces for whatever reason and they find some kind of unit to do something while infusing a spirit(?) with life energy(?) to create a new world order(?). Also I cannot tell what language they are singing at all. There are some German parts but that's about the only thing I could discern. Also Chris memories and team Maria using their last dose of linker in episode 1.

On the fun side the aforementioned missile dodge, Hibiki literally punching tank shells and giant uhhhh stingers and drilling The Saint's Cradle's little brother to pieces, Chris stacked missiles on top of missiles and Tsubasa is apparently spinning around. Also Aoi a cute. I don't remember if the banana-noise are new or not but they are ridiculous.

For all we know it could just be Balal, aka, their universal language of....whatever the hell it actually is we don't know.

Yeah seemingly we've moved from grape noise to banana noise this season . They really do just like to throw in these random Noise designs here and there. Was an episode with a lot of fun elements to it.

Also still just trying to piece together what the villains are up to here. Maybe they found out that these guys had access to something they wanted, then they gave them alca-noise to 'help them' but really to draw out SONG, and then use them to make these guys direct them to what they were looking for? Although that still doesn't explain what they were there for (still not sure what that girl(?) is).

And still not sure why they were supporting FIS behind the scenes. I suppose with Carol they were fellow alchemists, but still not sure what they would get from her ripping the world apart. Unless they supported Carol simply so her plan would go far enough along that someone like the Symphogear users would take her out for them.

Regardless, not expecting to figure it all out right away.

This show will always be hype for me. The first half of this episode would be the series finally for any other anime but not for Symphogear. First episode GIANT HELICARRIERZ THAT FIRE ALL THE MISSILEZ!

i' d say this season feels less Kamen Rider-y as the previous seasons & more straight up Gundam as it became an all out war between the UN & who ever the real antagonist faction is, assuming they'd still relied on plot twists.

Hi guys it's been a long time!
I came to say that Im bloody happy Symphogear is back nd more better than ever because of Mahou Shoujo joins to the party.
I'm so looking forward of the next episode because of the new OP and ED for Tsubasa and Chris.

Just watched the live stream, so here are my impressions of it. I recommend that you don't read it, if you don't want to be spoiled.

Episode 2 - Last Resort Impressions

I loved Bruce Lee Hibiki in the op. I think that was definitely her doing moves from Fist of the dragon.

So, the dragon-snake can rewrite time so that any damage it took never happened? Hax!

I would have suggested trying to use the Ignite modules against it on the theory that they may have been able to cancel out its power, but running works too. Sometimes.

So Alchemists came about by stealing more of Fine's tech. I suppose that's not a surprise.

Being Chris is suffering.

She murders a bunch of people, but gets touchy about someone scratching her face? How petty.

All right, Maria was glowing there for a second. That's probably important.

And Hibiki defies all natural laws and physics yet again through the power of sheer overwhelming shonen hot bloodnedness.

I can understand the alchemists laying low for the past few centuries. If I had to go up against Pirate Fine I'd be afraid too .

Good old Hibiki being able to just punch through invincibility. Though I'm sure there will be some kind of explanation. Could be a case where Gungnir was particularly well suited for that. Or just Hibiki being badass, either is fine .

I hope the OP is on point for this season. I'd love to see some of these pairs fight together. It's covering duos that we haven't seen to this point. Tsubasa/Shirabe, Chris/Maria, Hibiki/Kirika. Heck I can hardly recall a time where Shirabe and Tsubasa directly talked to each other. Maybe in the OVAs?

Either way, Chris = suffering. She made the right call. Better to save the kid's life than hesitate and let him die. Sure, it's realistic to be upset about that kind of injury, but I'd hope that sooner than later Sonya would get past it. In the end her negligence put Chris through hell. Not only did she mess up which lead to deaths, but she couldn't keep track of Chris after that and let her fall into the grasp of slavers and then Fine. It's fine to be upset in the heat of the moment, but not for long after this.
