YES! Although going by GATE's airing, probably split cour.

24 episodes, that means this IS split cour (I don't know why we have so many adaptations made in that way) but this is fantastic specially because we can see lots of the most awesome fights like the Tricore one.

That's pretty good. We should be able to get to at least volume 4.

Probably to give the studio more time. I'm cool with it as long as we can get better quality.

Is that site credible? I hope it's true.

I had read somewhere that it's a more cost-effective method? especially when you plan to do 3 (or more) cours. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

With split-cour being so popular now, I wonder if it'll eventually completely phase out 2-cour shows? Especially if it's actually cost-effective and helps production.

Then it most certainly will. It's happening right now.

Having a legit 2 cour show is not entirely out of the question base on past Dengeki Bunko shows- doesn't even have to be super popular like Strike the Blood and Accel World.

JC Staff just did a 2 cour show recently as well

Great to hear that this will be a two-cour show. Though, there's a high chance that it will be a split cour. I think that its okay for a series like Heavy Object because of the little connectivity between LN volumes.

Here's hoping that they adapt at a pace of 2 LN volumes per cour.

2 volumes per cour is the best option since volume 5 (technopics) is literally a side story even if is placed in the same universe.

Well it already felt like 24 ep shows were being phased out in favor of solely 1 cour series. If split cour means that we will get more episodes for shows that wouldn't have gotten past 1 cour otherwise....I can live with it. It's a bit frustrating to have to wait a season for a show, but it's not the worst thing.

Either way if this gets 2 cour, then awesome. More episodes is something I'll always be excited about.

I'm not sure if split-cour necessarily helps production.....the studios always find some way to negate an advantage by adjusting workflow, so it actually encourages further reductions in time and production management costs. I don't know if the split-cour trend is directly related to things that are happening in coordination, but it's convenient nonetheless (4-5 years ago, a big change was large-scale parallelization of animation direction; now some studios are significantly cutting down the number of experienced production coordinators or are parallelizing the process by regularly assigning two or even three people to an episode).

Now once that change is made, the likelihood of the industry returning to how things used to work is slim.

I think a lot of high profile shows have been split cour, which is why they've done well or had high quality. But... I'm not sure what would happen to less high profile shows. With a very good staff, split cour can make wonders, with a mediocre staff, a split cour might be worse than just 24 episodes in a row...

Either way, hopefully this does well. I'm excited.

Also,.... PuzzObject? How could you?

I'm not sure what (if any) criteria exists to have a decently made game like SAO got one... but it might be too costly for something like that.

I'd kill for an investment into Heavy Object : Armored Core Edition, but never happening.

Wait how did you figure that out? And if true that'd be greatish pacing (maybe) (though that seems completely unrealistic).
