Here's an idea on the coin exchange.

Spoiler:
Lawrence did mention earlier that something like this exists.

Rather than stirring them up, I think Horo is creating new ones

o please.... anime is stuffed full of catgirls, foxy chicks, and fantastical creatures. You might as well worry about a series starring the Egyptian Gods.

Besides, they're mostly nice people just like any other fandom... its that 10% ya gotta keep hitting with large trout.

No, you need brimstone.

PS: It seems that sleeping with animals is more popular in the West than East (except for myths).

It happens all the time in Eastern Myths too. It's just that most of the time they are fully disguised as humans and the guy involved had no idea who she was. I mean, not even flowers and trees are spared in these stories.

Yep, I know three separate Eastern Fairytales, one about a Chrysanthemum flower spirit, one about an elm spirit, and another about a Lingzhi flower girl.
(Lingzhi can't flower, as it is a Fungi, but magic can do anything.)

The Chrysanthemum and Elm stories are similar, both about a plant spirit appearing in the guise of a woman because they fell in love with a mortal man. In both cases, the marriage was successful, but in the end the husband laid dying or dead by some tragedy, and the spirit sacrificed all her powers over the centuries to revive him. The price payed being she had to revert to a normal plant once more, and the husband took care of the plant for the rest of his life.

The story about the Lingzhi Flowergirl was far less pleasant, but it was the guy's fault.
Spoiler for spoiler purely to save space.:

I hope you're not confusing the vast majority of furry fans with "barnyardanimals.com" nonsense........ because if you are, you're absolutely offbase.

There are enough light novels from the Dengeki Bunko with that, I mean pantsu (lol)

Anyway, as I mentioned before, Ookami to Koushinryou is a light novel series published under the Dengeki Bunko label, a label that's aimed at teenage boys/men in their twenties, so Ookami to Koushinryou is more like a shounen/seinen light novel series. well, that's the target readership of most boy's (shounen) light novel labels.

Anyway, looking at the content of the light novel will not get you anywhere, there are shounen manga with no explosions and pantsu too.

Remember that shounen/seinen are only target readership, and the target readership of Dengeki Bunko light novels are males in their teens/twenties.

I'm just wondering....what would happen, if Kobushi Abiru from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei would meet Horo?

Um, lets see...

-Horo might praise Abiru for knowing quality
-Horo might play around with Abiru
-Turn into a wolf and eat Abiru
-Abiru cuts off Horo's tail and adds it to her collection <--

The things is that Abiru is obsessed with tails, but Horo is not dumb enough to get caught.

-Abiru chases Horo all through the country and neither will give up.

Hey, I was wondering how decent/good are BSS's subs of this. I'm try to wait for Ayako, but they just have so many things going on, they are talking a little longer for all of their releases. Thanks.

I think they're passable ... actually pretty amazing for speed-subs. I've got decent opinions of both Ayako and BSS so its a coin flip on highly subjective interpretations as to which translation you prefer.

I usually download one or two episodes from each candidate fansub group and compare over lunch hour.

Having had a Horo avatar for a while, I finally decided to go make myself a Horo sig. The power of Horoism compels!

Some thoughts carried from another thread:
I've seen a few indications, reviews, and analyses that many of the sub groups are "not quite getting it right" in terms of Horo's dialog and speech patterns. It is fairly established she uses a dialect reminiscent of an "18th C. Edo courtesan (pleasure girl)" ... but translating that effect into subtitles to give the viewer that feeling is quite tough. English just lacks the subchannels to add that feeling.

Something elegant but erotic is needed ... now what kind of written *words* would one use to convey that?

Much sympathies for the translators, editors, and QC people in the various subgroups trying to capture that.
