"IF", you mean? Personally, I think there're gonna be fansub groups piling up to have the honor to sub SnS II. And as for subbing time, I'd say that two days is enough for quality subs, at least in average. Speedsubs should be out 20-30 hours after, but we'll see who's going to pick this up.
And I'm also pretty relieved that Kawada Mami is doing the first OP, just like in the first season. With Hishoku no Sora alone she was already one of my favorite singers, and after listening to Asu e no Namida, Radiance, Get my Way and Undelete, I fell in love. I'm also a huge fan of Kotoko, but I have to say that Being didn't live up to its predecessor, even if it's an enjoyable song overall. On a side note, though, I've gotta say that I also became a huge fan of Kugimiya Rie after seing her performance in SnS and Zero no Tsukaima ( As Louise ), which is the reason I'll be not only watching Hayate no Gotoku, but also using her Drama CD misc sounds in my cellphone and computer. ( She says stuff like "Oi, Asa dazo. Hayaku Okiro!" and "Churururin~ Pasokon wo Kidou Suruzo"! I'll definitely be embarrassed in class when my laptop starts and she says that, but who the f'kin cares? ) As for the Yoshida Kazumi talk, I really hope she gets run over by a speeding Llama, turned into a taco and eaten by mexican Cannibals. ( Obviously this is a dramatization, but the Llama could be replaced by Roadrunner for all I care ). And Ike is a nerdish-looking guy, but I definitely don't think he doesn't have the guts to go ahead and tell her about his feelings. In fact, almost all of the male characters in Shakugan no Shana are pretty mature for their age, with the exception of Marcosias, of course. As for the airing date, I think it's pretty certain that it'll be in early october, judging by the release date of the OP single. They normally come a couple of weeks after the anime has started ( In the case of Brightdown, of course, it's been almost 5 months... ), so I don't expect it to be airing anywhere past the 10th. But if the info above remains true, then hell! Only 35 more days until more Shana-chama goodness. Oh boy, oh boy. I can't wait. On a side note, I have this as my desktop on my laptop. Whenever I open it in class, I always smirk around to see if there're any otaku who can be identified. But don't worry, whenever someone asks me "Wow where's that from?" I'll give'em a pat on the back and, of course, a .torrent file.
