Edit by Moderator: This thread was split off from the original Gash Bell discussion because there was so much discussion of episodes that take place after the last fansubbed episode. There was also a lot of manga discussion. Now the manga and raw Japanese episodes can be discussed in this new thread without being interfered with by discussion of the fansubbed episodes.

Some people might wonder why this thread is in the fansubs forum even though it is for discussing episodes that don't exist on fansub yet. This is a discussion of episodes that haven't been fansubbed yet in a show that is being fansubbed. There is a great deal of precedent for discussing raw episodes in the fansub forum as long as fansubbing of the show is currently underway. Besides, if I moved it into the General Anime or Manga forum, people would fail to notice it when they want to talk about Gash Bell and the problem would repeat itself.

Is the series going to skip the Millenia demons completely? From the preview of 51, they are going to fight the masked person who releases the demons, but the manga doesnt have that from what i can see..

Not sure... the newtype preview says that Zofis only shows herself and then sends 5 of the millenia mamonos to attack them. In the manga, she did send a group of 3 demons to attack them... but a bunch of stuff happened before this, the introduction of Patty for instance. To me it seems they're either trying to introduce the plot fast or shorten it heavily, for whatever reason.

I really hope TOEI doesn't screw up the current manga arc story I'll be upset. I really liked this arc cause it's been so exciting and entertaining. It's the first really big plot in the story, although I'd wish it'd end soon in the manga, lately the story in the manga has been dragging. One thing that bothers me is TOEI never animated the announcements that are made through the books of how many demons left, I wonder why. I felt that to be pretty important.

Also I do pay the same amount for the manga,($7 at Kinokuniya) however, I still feel the price is worth it which is why I have vols 1-15.

Yes... For some reason, Gash Bell escaped the general awareness of the fansub community at first, and it didn't become popular until it was promoted and eventually fansubbed by people who were following the Japanese publications.

Kyusaku originally introduced Gash to me, and I eventually helped A-E with translation in a few eps (never had much time from other stuff, unfortunately). I'm following it pretty closely now. So obviously myself and Kyusaku know enough Japanese to follow it. Bayoab also knows what 'akai hon' means, but that's pretty much it.

They seem to be going back to manga story arc and introducing Pati in ep 52, although they gave Pati green hair instead of the white hair she has in the manga.

I just downloaded episode 51, and I haven't watched it yet, but as far as I can tell, Zophise doesn't show up in it, and Patty's intro is the next episode, so they at least seem to have done that before Zophise sends them. Also, there's a new opening

Anyhoo... I actually like Patti's blue hair better... regardless though, it's some of the most demented hair in an anime I've ever seen, and judging by the episode preview, Patty's personality is equally if scary if not more so

If you read the manga you find out that LORD is actually Zophise/Zofis. So Zophise/Zofis actually does send a set of demons after Kiyomaro and Gash in episode 51, however these are not the ones from the manga fight after the Pati fight in the manga.

Also, rather unfortunately my knowledge of the Manga storyline is solely limited to who's anime exclusive and who isn't so far :P, and a general overview (that doesn't go in to too much detail) about the current manga story.

first of all, Zofis is Lord.
and "HE" (not she) will send about 50 or more demons that were sealed to "STONE"...
so yea, Coco (or Koko) is his partner...

Sherie, who is really really strong, would come back and (in my opinion), beat Zofis w/ Kiyomaro, Megumi, Folgore, Sunbeam (im not sure i spelled him right, but he's Umagon's partner), and Leeyen (the chinese girl). Kid's book will be burnt.... by E.O....
