Try to refer to him in plural. That might actually be correct...

The game refers to Leon as "he" when that comes up, so I don't see a problem with it.

Yes, Will also noticed that and thought it was odd. A golden ring indicating the head has shown up several times, but there's never been a silver ring indicating the next head before.

I'm doing this as I read, so I'll translate her TIP when she shows up.

I just hope the portrait of ep8 is Beatrice's bitchin' anachronistic submarine.

That thing's like the Rosebud of Umineko.

It is not. It's Bern's presentation of the truth of the Rokkenjima Incident, designed to make Ange feel like complete shit.

It's still the mystery version of EP 3 regardless, because of the lack of fantasy elements.

Thank you k//, I needed that.

Also, does this mean Bernkastel is committing to the notion that there was only ever one future?

...No, it isn't. It's a world similar to Ep3, insofar that the adults killed one another and Eva survived, but that only means that Ep3 is the most similar game to Ange's world.

What Bern is presenting is (her version of) the truth of Ange's world, the only real world. She's telling Ange that her parents are murders and the reason Eva never told her what happened is because she wanted to keep that fact from her. Which makes The Witches' Tanabata even worse, in retrospect.

You're not understanding what I'm saying. I know it's Bern's version of EP 3 and what really happened. It's still however a more mystery version of the EP 3 game because of the lack of magical elements. Rather than Eva-Beatrice showing up you have all the adults finding the gold. There's no way Kyrie would say bad things about Ange, but she does.

If you look at the Tea Party closely, you can see a lot of elements pulled disparately from ep1-4. Bern is remarkably perceptive, although her "solution" pulls in unorthodox fashion from all sorts of episodes. See how many elements you can find. I've noticed:
Spoiler for Various Elements:
I'm sure there's others. Of course, they all come from all over, so if that's how we're supposed to find the solution, it's quite a mess to sort through smashing prior episodes together into a single narrative. If any of that is accurate, that is.

My question about the Tea Party is: How many freaking guns did they have?

I thought Hachijou's very existence already confirmed that.

I don't think we're understanding each other, but what I'm saying is that it's definitely not Ep3. Ange's world is not Ep3. They are not in any way related except for Eva surviving.

I don't know why everyone is so stuck on Ep3 being Ange's universe. Fragments are a magic/meta concept, they're not real.

The whole gun thing in the tea party is messed up. I think they all had guns, but I'm not too sure. Which makes things rather confusing, considering in EP 3 they said only 4 guns were working. Unless Bern somehow rewrote the story to make them all work, similar to how Battler made it so Erika got sticky tape.

This is Bern we're talking about here. The one who wants to make everyone look like a horrible bastard and get a cruel twisted ending. I can't imagine Kyrie actually thinking that way about Ange.

That is, of course, Bern's opinion. Consider the real ep3; we spend a bunch of time on how we can prove Kyrie's intentions and thoughts and how her behavior is supposed to be consistent with her desires. Just where does all this information come from, exactly? Actually you can say that about a lot of things (Yoshiya, anyone?).

This is another goddamn thing. Both Ep1 Natsuhi and Ep2 Rosa imply that only one gun exists, but Ep3 has at least four guns, and more just keep showing up.

For that matter, why were they freaking strapped to the gills with firearms while going to solve the epitaph? Did they think Kinzo was gonna have the place guarded? Were they worried Maria was going to find the guns and hurt herself? Did they just think they looked totally cool walking around with loaded guns?
