It wouldn't be the Ikeda lab without their lab coats! Nothing makes a scientist feel quite like a scientist than a lab coat. And I love how Himuro's boobs bounce when she shows it off .

I honestly thought the professor's wife made him stop shredding lab coats, but Ibarada has him just as whipped .

The new Opening is another really fun, upbeat, Sora Amamiya number, with fun visuals of the cast together, Himuro and Kanade as fashion models, Kosuke and Ibarada being together, the new characters, and Kanade running towards something (her own chance at true love?) .

Himuro and Yukimura are still reeling from their Okinawa trip and their kiss, and of course they're ready to start getting into the nitty gritty of analyzing what it means...which, for this show, means examining saliva .

Sui definitely makes a strong impression what with her dressing like a courtesan that barely wears any clothes and is basically flaunting herself seductively while waxing on about the wonders of human saliva, and she is more than happy to show her own off. Chris is a lucky man .

Speaking of Chris, he seems American (or British), is voiced by Yuuki Kaji, and seems like quite the charmer...but the only lady he has eyes on is Sui, and he is both terrified of the effect she has on other men and more than happy to wax on about how much he loves her .

What better way to contrast our main couple than an actual couple who have been together for four years and have no reservations about flaunting their relationship in front of each other? Like, Sui makes out with Chris right in front of them! I was half expecting them to do it in public too. And they have higher levels of oxycontin than Yukimura and Himuro do, and they're still the stage of even debating whether they're in love with each other. Real Bacouples are legit .

Of course Himuro's not about to let someone disrespect her feelings for Yukimura or the work they've put in, so it's time for them to commit to some science and collecting saliva .

Rikekuma is back to teach us about scientific methods .

Kanade's a simple girl, but we love that about her .

I love how Chris waxes poetic about how much he loves Sui while she turns him into a blushing mess by just plainly saying how she loves everything about him. Meanwhile Yukimura and Himuro are just as stoically scientific about their feelings as ever .

A couple behind a locked room! Although pretty on-brand for this show to set it up like Sui and Chris are going to do it only for Sui to just give him a lap pillow and rub his head (lucky devil). But it does give Himuro and Yukimura the perfect excuse to kiss again .

Although for a normal couple, just a simple lap pillow can do more than just a kiss, so it seems like Himuro and Yukimura will have to really step up their game to match a real couple .

Looks like we have a new couple that is every bit as weird as our protagonists. Them being lovey dovey in such an exaggerated way is a nice contrast to the usual behavior of Yukimura and Himuro.

I love how Yukimura and Himuro are having this huge battle of oxytocin levels to prove the value of their love...and Ibarada and Kosuke are just playing Smash on the Switch. Nice contrast in couples .

No shame in Himuro and Kanade feeling happy hugging each other! They're adorable together! Female friendship is a wonderful thing! And like Sui says, all forms of love are perfectly valid .

I love how Yukimura gets jealous of Himuro and Kanade together while Himuro gets jealous of him and Sui together .

Chris calls out Yukimura for failing to live up to Himuro's feelings for him and failing as a man...which is the perfect opportunity for Himuro to stand up for her man and how they're approaching their relationship, which re-energizes Yukimura. It just goes to show how much faith and confidence they have in each other .

Muscle Rikekuma !

Thanks to Yukimura's persistence, he manages to figure out the gap in Oxytocin levels thanks to the difference in experience in the contrasting pairs' relationships. Himuro and Yukimura are still in the fledgling point of their relationship and are feeling the pangs of initial attraction and love, while Sui and Chris have been together for years and have stabilized their feelings and love for each other, so it's no wonder their Oxytocin levels are high. It just means that Himuro and Yukimura have room to grow together .

(Was that Nao Toyama voicing the girl in the imagine spot )?

It's not a pretty picture when your first love gets compared to a drunk man in love with booze, although it makes its point .

Having your girlfriend compare you to a pomeranian is...not very flattering, but at least she said she still thinks your cool, Chris .

Yukimura basically just admitted he loves Himuro because he's trying to prove his love for her! Nice .

Look at Himuro describing the attraction of Ibarada and Kosuke by describing celestial bodies...and she wasn't even trying to, she was just describing celestial bodies to Kanade and it just coincidentally related to Ibarada and Kosuke, to Kanade's hilarious confusion .

Wait, this idiot science couple got a 2nd season? Dang, the anime is further than the fan-translated manga then. I have never seen Chris or Suiu in there yet. Or that highschool gyaru for that matter.

Those two are still idiots in love trying to use science to proof it because they are too embarrassed to just admit it to each other.^^;

With Chris and Suiu though they got a "real official couple" with 4 years old relation ship, so lots of good information came out of that for their theory. Now they just need to find a new way to implement all those new data into their theory. Plus they now got a friendly lab to help them out with saliva research if needed.

Ibarada and Torasuke are totally gonna get together this season though if this flying in groom and bride outfit are any hints to go by. XD

So Ibarada is self-aware that her choice of Gothic Lolita fashion is kind of Chuuni...well, if anyone would be, it's Ibarada .

Lasally is basically Ibarada with lighter hair. Like, c'mon Kosuke. Although it seems like it finally sunk in for him that his ideal woman is actually Ibarada and he's actually been projecting his feelings for Ibarada on his 2D women this whole time .

We get to see more of Ibarada's home life and...it doesn't look pretty. It seems like Ibarada's mom is a drunk who sleeps around all day and doesn't understand why her daughter is even bothering with her college work, and when she calls Ibarada "pretty" it seems to sting Ibarada, and puts a different context on the way she tries to look. No wonder she sleeps at the lab so much and feels more comfortable there, it's way better than what's waiting for her at home .

I love how Yukimura is initially dismissive of Himuro just having a cold until he realizes she hadn't been in contact with Kanade and he just rushes over in the rain. Guy's got it bad .

Young Himuro flashback! We even get to see her mom, who she definitely gets her amazing good looks from (she basically looked like Himuro with shorter and darker hair), and seemed to be a great mom who was there for her daughter when she needed her and was kind and supportive. Was she also a doctor/researcher? It seemed like she was reciting genuine studies or statistics to Himuro to help her sleep .

I love how Himuro is re-energized upon seeing Yukimura and realizing she's barely wearing any clothes and is self-conscious at him being at her place. And lucky Yukimura gets to see Himuro's room. And doubly lucky when Himuro shoves him into her thighs when Kanade shows up. The universe sure is vast .

Ibararda really is a nice person, doing the muscle training herself to help the professor out and not even taking credit for it. But Kosuke knows what she's really like .

Ibarada utterly slaying Kosuke on Gacha and his chances with women...but when you see the way he makes her genuinely laugh, you know how much he means to her .

Well, I wasn't expecting Ibarada to have such a bad family situation. I wonder if we'll see more of it, but there might not be enough episodes to focus on the matter.
Kosuke is finally realizing that Ibarada is actually his ideal girl, now he has to realize that her teasing him is her way to ask for his attention.
Less focus on Himuro and Yukimura this week, but their scenes were fun. Sadly, being unable to resist the impulse to run to your sick candidate girlfriend because you are irrationally worried doesn't count as a scientific demonstration that you are in love, so more research has to be done on the subject.
Himuro is barely able to get out from bad with 37.8°. Japanese people really have a unique physiological response to cold.

So we got to see the mothers of Ibarada and Himuro, quite a difference really, like one got actual eyes for example. But if her home is this gloomy it's no wonder Ibarada enjoys the Lab with her friends.

Yukimura being superworried about the sick Himuro and visiting her without gifts and then getting shoved between her naked thighs when Kanade came to visit and this guy ain't even enjoying it to the fullest!!! XDDD

So Torasuke realized that his 0.0007% woman is standing right in front of him and actually has been part of his life his whole life. Well, there is some big development right there. Now he just needs to win her heart and get the happy ending for a life time. ^^
