I want my season 2 so I know this has to do well in order for that to happen.

So it's only in 59 theaters in Japan compared to SAO being in 150 theaters. I guess they may be planned to go for 1 billion if that's the case.

Hrm how should i say, this an unused original story. It probably suppose 1 vol or 2 volume arc but failed to pass publisher yet cram everything in less 2 hour animation a bit rush???

It's doing pretty well, maybe a second season might be possible at this point.

So I went in blind just for the action and to hear BBA Hikasa voicing Lina, and didn't expect the story to be set after visitor arc. A pity for the anime-only viewers who are probably clueless to Lina's lineage and her HMB magic. To be honest, at 1.5 hours length, and with most of the cast sitting out the heavy duty action (which was not a lot really), the movie was a total ripoff. Not that it was unexpected. Still I enjoy it somewhat, especially the chuckles and snickers among the audience when Tatsuya proclaimed he could do a one-man rescue show, and the scenes where he went around doing his god stuff, drawing out laughs rather than awe from the audience again.

A month after the preview in Malaysia, I was finally able to watch it in the local cinema. The animation quality is good as expected, but I'm just left feeling quite a bit disappointed that there's really few action scenes. They had rather spent the screen time on some beach and bath time instead. Urghh.

The after credit scene probably hints for more season/movie, but I'm not sure how they're gonna make it, given the huge time gap between S1 and the movie.

Raw's out. Fight scenes were much better than the janky crap we got in the anime.

It takes place after volume 11.

Nope you didn't miss anything. They skipped a LOT of things for anime-only viewers.

Honestly was kind of boring.
The first hour is just talking and the talking wasn't really important.

Weird decision to have it take place much needed material after the anime.
