MGSV: 2 demos coming sept.19th & sept.21st! (LIVE STREAM)

Quote:
So it has been confirmed now by Ken Imaizumi that MGSV will be shown on 2 separate dates. Now he is saying it is "gameplay" footage on both dates so I assume that we might be getting 2 different gameplay demonstrations and not necessarily the same one replaying again.

Kojima already expressed his concerns that he may not have enough time to show everything specially if there are mistakes done while presenting the game. The total time for both presentations combined is 1 hour. I think 1 hour is good enough for him to show the game.

WHY regenerating health WHY. I want the rations to come back!

No seriously tho, without a health and stamina bar, all that impromptu resource management is gone. And it discourages careful planning and stealth gameplay.

Doesn't the game auto adjust and give you more health drops or Ammo if you need them? Been like that since first MGS.

Did they actually say no health bar or stamina? I thought that was just demo God mode.

^They said they would take out all unnecessary HUD elements and only show them when needed... health is gone in favor of this bleeding/coloring effect you see everytime BB gets shot.

But yeah, this demo was on ultra easy difficulty, so we don't know how fast health will regenerate in the final game and how much better the AI will be.

Sadly, no information about that yet.

At least it looks like the exclamation point is still in there!

I had heard that it was getting the axe. I hope that's not the case. For some reason I always associate MGS with the exclamation mark, walking around inside boxes and the codec

God, Sutherland is really phoning it in. SKULLFACE sounds a lot less scary than I thought he would, too.

I guess I was building him up to be some eccentric antagonist in my mind, but Skullface sounds suprisingly normal to me

Kiefer is good at these super serious roles, but whether or not he can be a good Snake would rest on how well he can deliver the goofy, silly lines as well.

He's not even trying. The "kept you waiting huh" sounded like he considers this entire role to be a chore and not something to actually, you know, act in.

Erm, I'm not entirely sure how fully of life a "kept you waiting huh" is supposed to sound considering it's casual tone...

He says it all in one breath. Think about how a person would actually say something like that, and listen to how Sutherland says it.

I think that's more having to do with matching the lip flaps than Sutherland's acting.

On that subject, I think he sounds okay so far. He's no Hayter, and it'll definitely take some getting used to. It does feel weird having him say "Kept you waiting huh?" and not Hayter.

I swear to god I recognize Skullface's voice from somewhere...

And Chaos2Frozen, I'm not expecting a lot of goofy or silly lines in this game, especially from Snake. It makes sense, what with this being the end of "Snake" and the true beginning of "Big Boss."
