I'm very relieved to hear all the members are safe. I also hope all of you are hanging around the General Chat thread for the earthquake and concerning yourselves about the thousands of other lives that have been endangered by the massive attack received on the Japanese lands.

Aye, there's nothing wrong with an "all hands" check but people should also realize that almost everyone on these little "my favorite anime/manga people lists" also has family, friends, coworkers, and more who may have been impacted, hurt, or killed in this event.

So even if Actress XYZ wasn't physically hurt, it doesn't mean they're "okay".

Though it's hard to truly connect with people you don't know personally, I still wouldn't want to be in the shoes of those who survived, but are now homeless or even 'merely' injured. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them would consider killing themselves right there and then.

Those who have lost someone they love, or even a close friend, are probably even worse off. Given time (and maybe a bit of luck), you can overcome many of the material problems, but you can never replace someone you held dear to for so long (be it days, months or years). Memories of them will haunt you till the day you die.

I guess I should call myself fortunate to not live in an earthquake zone, or even a volcanic region. The only thing I should be worried about is rising sea water, as 2/3 of my country is below sea level, especially where I live (coastal village; the sea is within walking distance).

I wouldn't wish a fate like this to my worst enemy.

correct me if Im wrong, so Yui's Passport says expires 2009, so I'm gassing that confirms they graduated in 2009 or is it 2010, since there renewing it , which makes them 19-20 years old Freshmen or Sophomore in college relative in todays world.

At least according to the manga, they graduated on 2010.

Anyhoo - I haven't seen the new ep yet nor will I until someone subs it. But my question for those who have is; where in the timeline does it take place?

Not too sure, I would say anywhere between S2 Episodes 12-14.

I forgot to justify why I think it's between those episodes... I briefly heard Azusa say "Summer Fest" when the group met up at the fast food place, and this also after Mugi comes back from Finland. I'm still not sure when this episode takes place, but I have a feeling it is set before they graduate.

The story takes place after ep. 13 and before ep.14. In the beginning Mugi is giving everybody souvenirs from Finland and says that she couldn't give them out at the festival (the "matsuri" traditional festival, not the music festival) that happened at the end of ep.13 and then they all keep talking about impending summer school (which is ep.14).

Spoiler for when the trip actually happens:

The actual trip will be after graduation (the movie?). Yui also proposes that they go on another overseas trip together after Azusa's graduation so that they can visit all the places they wanted. (the 2nd movie?) Sawa-chan is tagging along for the "honeymoon" (Yui's idea )

Spoiler for destinations:

Azusa wants to go to NYC, Mio wants to go to UK, Ritsu wants to go to Hawaii, Mugi will go wherever everybody else is going (later suggests Finland), and Yui will go to any place where there are delicious snacks.

The year is actually not visible, we can only see the day and the month (09 JUN = Jun 9th) for both the issue and the expiry dates, but judging by Yui's youthful appearance on the photo, it is safe to say the passport expired long ago.
