In the battle with Itachi and sasuke, i think they will be both about to die and then sasuke will like stab Itachi or do something to him.... and then sasuke will be like 'My dream has now become a reality' and then he'll die =[
and Karin, juugo and suigetsu will be like SASUKEEEEEE!
and all the akatsuki will all die and stuff and then Naruto will be happy and the anime and manga will end....

i wouldnt mind seeing some anbu assasination missions.
we always here about anbu but never get to see what they do... fine line between mysterious and boring.
also it always bothered me that konoha always seem to be escorts never assasins.

as for villains other villages legendary teams not jsut the 7 swords of the mist but the various kages and other 1337score teams

I definetly don't think that it's the end of the story. A last villain would have to be someone who has a special relationship with Naruto. Something like his opposite, or a demon that surpasses even the Kyuubi itself. Something like a threat to the whole world, that will bring all the villages together, and an ending where either Naruto dies with honor and a smile on his face taking the bad guys with him(least likely scenario), something like he leaves everyone to get stronger and a his teammates tag along with him, or something like he becomes the absolute leader of all the villager, something like the Grand Kage.

I really don't think the story is over. THere are still a lot of things that might happen.

Spoiler for anime, manga:

For one Sasuke and Naruto were/maybe still are in situations where the tables are turned, meaning that if Sasuke acts cool one day, later Naruto will act cool saying or doing the same thing.
SO I kind of expect, though still not sure, that in the future, Naruto will go to the dark side for a while and Sasuke might be the one to save him.

I'm of the belief that, before Naruto ends, Naruto either has to become Hokage, or die...or some combination of those two. It would be silly to keep reiterating that Naruto's dream is to become Hokage, and then end the series before that dream can come to fruition...unless he dies, which would be okay by me anyway.

Beyond Akatsuki, we already have two new villains: Madara and Kabuto. Madara may just be an extension of the Akatsuki arc since he's controlling them. Kabuto is unrelated though, and since he said he would surpass Orochimaru we already know it's going to happen. No idea what that will have to do with the story though. And something still has to be done about Sasuke whether or not he comes back, including a setup for an inevitable second battle against Naruto. I also think Kyuubi seems like the best final villain - he somehow escapes from Naruto without killing him, and Naruto comes up with a solution that will eliminate him for good without creating a new Jinchuuriki. Thus Naruto surpasses Yondaime as the Greatest Hokage Ever. The End.

I'll feel satisfied with the show if it ends after Naruto has become Hokage, and like Sarutobi, dies protecting the village during a great war. The last episode could be the cast mourning, and saying stuff like "Well he finally got his face carved into that mountain... " etc.

If it got to that point without a time skip the series could go on for years and years lol. but I'd be expecting one. The time skip could end with Tsunade being dead (explained in a few flashback episodes/chapters), with Kakashi as the Hokage or someone. However the Hokage at that point very soon to die at the start of a war, maybe even starting the war. Naruto could die before even being given the Hokage ceremony, but then still being carved into the mountain. Bleh I', jsut typing up my thoughts as they come, I'll desist now.

Are you kidding me? For nearly half of Kishimoto's volumes were filled with Naruto being a total Emo, being obsessed with Sasuke and it is bordering near gaydom and you still want this to continue even further?

On the other side... who knows what the future may hold for the main characters of Naruto? I am almost 99.99% sure that Orochimarou will overwhelm Kabuto and come out once again in the near future. I can see it already...

So far the major villains that Kishimoto have been focused on were (chronologically):

Momochi Zabuza and Haku

Orochimarou (one of the major force of evil until Atkasuki's arrival)

Team Gaara

Atkasuki

and... possibly Uchiha Madara for the future.

and who knows? Just like Sasuke took advantage of Oro's weakened state to devour him, Oro might return and devour Uchiha Madara in his near death and becomes a new all-powerful villain
