i've seen all of the GTO Live Action and i miss it so much. they need to do this to more anime but if i'm right, it just costs too much. the only other live action is sailor moon, which i refuse to watch.

Yeah I loved GTO live. I downloaded the first episode of SM Live and I couldn't even finish the first episode. I hated it that much.

I highly recommend Beautiful Life. You can download it via BT from the same group that did GTO Live (#TV Japan I think?). Its a love drama and it doesn't try to be comical like GTO does, but I think its really good.

I've been meaning to get around to watching some more dramas but I've been too busy lately.

Try watching Summer Snow. I've seen GTO Live and that's what got me into JDorama.

I recommend Long Vacation and Good Luck... the first is a romance classic, the latter is a recent hit.

Most people around these boards seem to think that if it is live it must suck. So I rarely see threads like this. Glad there is one.

I just watched the first episode of Good Luck, and I'm already hooked! This is good stuff man, why can't American TV be like this? Reality shows make me want to puke.

I'm going to watch the first episode of Summer Snow now. Weeee I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Yes, they are subbed.

I just watched the first episode of Summer Snow and it's good too! Ahh, so happy . I love how J-Dramas portray real-life (unlike crappy American soap operas). They make everything seem so real, as if there wasn't a camera or actors or anything at all.

And also, they are much much shorter and less draggy.

the movie doesn't suck. its just a different school. btw was the movie released in theaters? where can i get the gto theme in mp3 format? damn i want more eps. Takashi Sorimachi kicks ass. If you enjoyed him as Onizuka, I recommend watching full time killer in his role as an assassin.

I downloaded all of You're Under Arrest Live Action and Summer Snow. The only problem is that i have to wait two weeks to see them. I can't take my laptop on a trip because my parents think it'll get stolen. The GTO movie wasn't good though. The plot was too slow in developing.

Don't get me wrong but comparing it w/ the TV eps. this movie is a drag. Its like one long episode w/o his TV students and I was looking forward on seeing them. By the way, I just saw half of the movie when I decided this one is terrible.

I agree, what propelled the drama series to best drama of the year was vastly absent in the movie.
