More like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Woo! I finally remembered the full name! Uh... back to the point... I've gotten to Episode 17 of Higurashi and its been kinda crazy but really good so far but before Episode 18 comes out, I'll need something to watch, so anything like Higurashi that you would recommend?

As far as "happy-then-gets-scary" goes, I think Shadow Star Narutaru is a good show to watch, though be warned that the anime only covers 6 volumes (7 american volumes) of 12 manga,

Also, I rewatched Boogiepop Phantom and found it to be slightly like Higurashi in terms of "confusion" and scariness. I reccomend you watch the anime first, read the novel/watch the live action movie, then watch the anime again to see all the pieces fall together.

If you can read Japanese, find the Visual Novel DOUBLE CAST (PS 1 & I think it was rereleased for the PSP). It's the same genre as Higurashi: Suspense + Mystery. The characters are all pretty lovable in the game as well.

The animation and voice acting is good too

Ah ha. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I like . And I'm still working on those Japanese skills, so I think Double Cast will be out for now, but thanks anyways!

If you're looking for some nice little girls, with some beautiful face that slaghter everything on their way, Elfen Lied would correspond to what you want, with a nice amount of blood.

Wow. Elfen Lied definitely sounds crazy. Well I'll keep all your suggestions in mind. I'm watching School Rumble right now. Pretty funny stuff.
