The thing about Saki x L-Elf is that they have to go through a ton of bullshit for that pair to happen. It's not that i'm against it. it's just that the first season was building the triangle between shoko, haruto and saki.
Another thing is that Saki and L-Elf had no relationship-building interactions at all(not even as friends/acquaintances/or even as teammates). The only times they actually interacted with each other was when L-Elf took Saki as hostage in the red vvv cockpit and when he knocked out Thunder and Saki in season one. On the other hand, Shoko and L-Elf are started to talk to each other more and more once he became part of school/jior. btw everyone knows this already, but the kid in ep 12 is also a vampire vvv entity. So there's definitely reproduction going on between haruto, saki, shoko, l-elf and their children. 200 years is at least 3-5 generations worth of children. |

Even in 2ch I've seen people question as to why Saki fell in love with Haruto. At first she wanted to use Haruto for the VVV, but what exactly did he do before/after that to make her want to be with him? It was stated that she was jealous of the bond that Haruto/Shoko shared, which with the way she's lived, she could have easily mistaken for love. She's confused about her feelings for him. My memory's a bit rusty, but I do remember Feldt falling in love with Setsuna (until the movie) after non-existent screentime together. Lunamaria/Shinn is another obvious example as well. Actually, nobody really does know who that kid is. If he were a descendant of the main leads, then wouldn't you think that the silver hair color would have been dominated by other hair colors? I personally think he's a test-tube baby, but that's just me. |

Just so you know, I'm actually the one that posted that. It's important to note the ? teaser tone.
But anyway.. exactly.. she has to sort out her feelings first you have to remember that her feelings towards Haruto is not static and is changing 1) want to use him for viral marketing 2) It must have been lonely for him to be a vampire 3) I'm a burden to him 4) I want to be special to him. ( I want to be the one to kill him if he goes berserk ) 5) I wish he acknowledged me a fellow loner soulmate we've watched enough anime to know where this is going but unfortunately too many people think she hasn't changed positions from point number 1 And that's why I root for them. I always prefer couples that start from zero As for my personal theory? Saki can sense the inherent loneliness in him. Even before he got on the Valvrave you can tell that he has issues. Probably parental abandonment. Shoko realizes a lot of things about Haruto, but I don't think she notices how lonely he is. Her approach to this seems to "correct" his shortcomings, rather than address it. If Shoko is busy with her duties and Haruto is busy with his, this will only isolate him even further. This is where Saki will come in again

I personally hope she does only love him as a teammate simply because I like Saki so much, while Haruto...not so much; however, that's a whole other topic that I won't get into Anyways, as I was saying, I question as to why it has to Haruto. There's the whole loneliness issue, which could be argued as to why doesn't she try to interact with Kyuuma/Thunder (since she doesn't know Akira yet), because they are also "lonely fellow vampires". I also feel like the writers, in order to force a love triangle, had Saki only interact & "love" Haruto simply because he's the MC. And, sadly, it's like an unwritten anime rule nowadays that everyone has to fall for the MC/heroine. Also, please don't think that I'm "hating" on Saki (I don't want you to misunderstand). She happens to be my favorite female character & 2nd most favorite character from the show. |

I made edits after you posted.. sorry
anyway As for my personal theory? Saki can sense the inherent loneliness in him. Even before he got on the Valvrave you can tell that he has issues. Probably parental abandonment. If Shoko is busy with her duties and Haruto is busy with his, this will only isolate him even further. This is where Saki will come in again So Thunder and Kyuuma is not the best match for this. I think her hijacking his body might also give her more insight to this. Remember how how Haruto hijacked L-Elf and L-Elf emotions overflowed at the end? Perhaps something similar happened

I honestly couldn't tell if he had issues before he got in the VVV. At the beginning he seemed like the typical, weak male lead. I actually found him interesting when he went full genocide mode, granted that it was in L-elf's body, but either way. Shoko does realize a lot of things about Haruto because they're childhood friends, they've had years to build their bond. We don't know how Shoko feels, since she keeps everything to herself (episode 10 as an example; the issue with her father), but what we do know is that they both have mutual feelings for one-another. I don't I've paid enough attention to see how she "corrects" Haruto, so I've got no response to that. Distancing himself from Shoko shouldn't mean that he has to isolate himself. His friends are there with him in case he ever needs some emotional support. Also, just because Saki is there doesn't mean her role should be as a love-interest. She can also be there as a friend/pseudo-family member. I don't get how Haruto is a better match for Saki to talk about loneliness or be friends with. Kyuuma/Thunder haven't even been given that chance to talk with her, so we don't know how they would interact. What's wrong with Saki talking to other characters? So far her character has only been revolving around Haruto, so interaction with others would be nice. How would she react to them and so on. I'm not sure about the bodyjacking thing, since it's never really been alluded to since episode 6. If she said something along the lines of "when I was in your body, I noticed that/etc." |
