Monster Strike gets TV anime adaptation this year. It's based on a RPG mobile game. Quote:

It rakes in like 3.4 million a day in cash... so they're obviously going to try and spin it off into other medias which will also promote the original game.
Who knows how big this will get, was anyone expecting Youkai Watch to be the next Pokemon on 3DS? Or that the Youkai Watch anime film was going to have the biggest opening weekend for any film in the Japanese Box Office since 2000? |

I was wrong, Youkai Watch had the biggest opening for any Japanese film in Japan.
As for Frozen, it's not the biggest film in Japan, it's the 3rd. And I was talking about opening weekends and Youkai Watch crushed it. $14.2 million and the 8th best opening weekend ever in Japan* compared to Frozen's $7.5 million. Frozen had incredible legs....... * Behind Matrix Reloaded, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. |

So first two episodes are out now, they are about 8 minutes each including the theme songs.
Honestly, I found it a bit silly especially Oragon. I think Ren went Yami Yugi or something when he battled in the second episode. Heh, at least that Aoi girl was fun to watch and packs a deadly kick too.

The graphic, art and animation seems to be more detailed and smooth than other short animes.
I wish our mobile games can summon Monster and Stages to battle too... but all we got is crappy graphics, lol (not even AR) PS: That ED... LOL Personally, Pokemon and Digimon are awesome, that's why other game/anime/manga tries and copy them and most times turn into huge success. And since I like Pokemon (still playing ORAS right now) so I'll watch this show, cause it seems kinda fun. Tho that Pinball mechanics... |
