Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja
Thread for Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja (plus sequel)
Better known in Japanese as 降魔霊符伝イヅナ (Gouma Reifu Den Izuna). Spoiler for First game cover:
Spoiler for Second game covers:
For some reason, the first game used the same cover as the JP version, but the second one took out Shino and Shizune... --- Couldn't help making this thread after playing some of the second game. For something that came out last year, I didn't even realize this game had a sequel until last month. Bought it right away. Haven't finished it yet though. The first game was good, but the second game is just godly compared to the first. -There are three save files now. -You can use more characters than just Izuna. -Tag system, new talismans, new weapon types -Instead of staying in one village, you get to move to places, making the story a lot more interesting -A lot more voices -Shino-nee. I have come to love her in this game. Heck, a lot of the story in the first half is focused on her. She gets a lot more facial expressions, her complex of her flat chest is a lot more pronounced, and she gets something like a favorite thing to say when she's angry ("Do you want to see hell?" <--translated). Her sister has bigger breasts than her, haha. -Mitsumoto unmasked!! And he looks very cool. Too bad, he is Mitsumoto, no matter what. -Picture and film, say cheese! -Lots more artwork (CG) in the game, like when the people tag or the event CGs. --- For people unable to read Japanese, Atlus, once again, is bringing Izuna to the US! Release: 07/22/08 Also, possibly a strange thing, the limited edition CD that came with Izuna 2 was supposed to be out of stock? From a thread on gamefaqs. But I got one along with my order. Could this just be awesome luck? It was great, having color illustrations, sketches, and character profiles for both seasons! Some things I can't get... (some pics are NSFW): http://www.success-corp.co.jp/softwa...ten/index.html *sob* I really want those special items. Especially that pic with Izuna, Shino, and Shizune together. --- And as always, it is a fun game. Just sucks when you game over. That reminds me... I encountered a evil glitch once... In a dark cave, I was walking around. A bomb unit blows up somewhere in the distance... and I couldn't move my character anymore. I had to close the game, causing me to lose all of my good items, like a claw I had constantly used talismans on to increase the SP to 200+... *off to post some wallpapers in the game images thread*

Originally Izuna looked a lot like a Naruto shinobi since she had a headband. XD
Then they gave her the googles... So the second one is coming out? Awesome. :3 Maybe now we'll get that ShinoxIzuna lovin' the site teased us with EDIT: Speaking of Shino's flat chest and what she says when she's angry... That was only ever touched on in the US Izuna website in the webcomics they put up (That Shino would say "Would you like to see hell?" after she thought everyone was talking about Izuna's breasts and that she was bragging Along with another scenario where Shino pointed out her flat chest)

Yay~, beat the game.
Yep, it was a good story. Especially compared to the first game's "Go through dungeons and beat gods, the end". Spoiler for just a little about the end of story:
Also managed to check out the end game extras (not completed, just checked): Spoiler for stuff you can do at the end/some info:
Oh yeah, and currently my wallpaper~ Shino-nee=awesome Hah... Next game on my list is Summon Night Twin Age: Seirei-tachi no Kyoumei. I believe the English version will be released by Atlus (good ol' Atlus) on the third of June. Though they take out the "Seirei-tachi no Kyoumei" part of the title... >_> Between this and Summon Night (just plain Summon Night without any other subtitle text), I chose this. Why? Because the character designs looked so plain in Summon Night, while this game's designs were much more lovely.

I was thrilled when I found out the second game came out. It is everything a sequel should be. It greatly improved of the first game and is ten times more enjoyable. It just may be my favorite game on the DS.
That has always been one of my favorite things about Rondo fo Swords. Atlus has such a great selection of games. Almost all of my DS games are Atlus.
