Really? I thought Frontier (or whichever one it was with Takuya and the others) was going to be the last Digimon series ever due to declining popularity or something. Not that I'm complaining that there's a new series, Digimon was always a somewhat enjoyable program to watch.

Look, here's all the news, it's coming out sometime in 2006 (maybe spring 2006). But that's really all the information there is, I think it came out in last month's Shonen magazine if you want to look up the source.
But you can't really expect more information, even when season 2 and 3 were coming out, we didn't actually know anything about the next season other than it was coming out the following year until 1-2 months prior to the actual release. Edit: There's a title now. "Digimon Savers", potentially a Digimon Tamers sequel is what's being rumoured, though no one's confirmed anything. Information is supposedly comming in the V-Jump that's going to be released in Feb.

This was really surprising, any information wether this is a independent series, or continuation to Tamers or Frontier? Characters looks new, I'm guessing that there is no relation to any previous series, since there has been three, four year break.

The photo posted is all the current information. There's supposed to be more news in next month's V-Jump, which leads me to believe the show will have a spring release date, since all previous seasons had their information start showing up end of december through end of feb with actual broadcast starting in the spring.
It's speculated to be Tamers02, though I can't see any character resemblences that these people claim to see in the photos.

"Masaru, a undefeated Tamer at age 14, meets Agumon, who has escaped from DATS, a secret government organization. Despite terrible first impressions, the two become best friends by "talking" with their fists. Although his skills with personal computers and technology are lacking, his father (now missing) is the leading authority on "Digital World" research. With others, Masaru and Agumon work to investigate various incidents involving the Digital World and Digimon, to try and get to the bottom of things. The Digivices used in this series are called "Digivice iC"." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digimon_Savers |

Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like Digimon like the person next door, but they´re going to cut Konjiki no Gash Bell, I hope it´s just a break tough, it would be better than filler, yet they´re rushing this arc just to make it in time for Digimon Savers and that sucks. |

I'm also wondering if Wada Kouji and Ai Maede (AIM) would be the song interpreters for this series.
Wada Kouji sung all the OP themes of the previous series Ai Maede sung all ED themes of series 1 to 3 and sung a duo with Wada Kouji in Frontier's 2nd ED. Miyazaki Ayumi, I believe that's the name, sung the digimon evolution theme songs of Digimon Adventure and Zero-Two. P.S. Thirty-six days left for Savers to start. |

AiM pretty much stopped with Tamers and I heard only helped with Endless Tale because of popular demand, that's why Wada Kouji did both Fire and Innocent for Frontier.
But yeah, rumor has it neither of them will be doing the songs for Savers. I'm pretty sure that the Tamers thing pretty much died once more info on the series other than the character sketches came out.

Hopefully a three-year gap is long enough for them to come up with a worthwhile story and some good monster designs, like Adventure had.
The humans definitely look a bit more mature than previous seasons, although the two new partners look rather silly. And where are the goggles?!
