This thread starts sounding like the old Zipang thread that was gone in the forumcide.

Too bad this show isn't nearly as good as Zipang, or as serious with the matters that you are talking about.

Perhaps not...We don't really know if its going to go all serious on us or at least have a few elements of humor in it. Maybe we're reading in the things about propaganda a little too much. Nevertheless, it's just ONE episode, so do reserve judgement (yes, this argument has been repeated, but its the truth).

The story preview for 2 and 3 makes me feel like C.C. really died... lol

No Gundamish resurrection!

I guess she only exists now as a voice in Lulu's head... maybe lol or at least the introduction to the story's mystery of mysteries...

That really sucks...

Hmmm? Care to share them with us? (I assume you got Newtype spoilers, right?) I'm quite curious to see whether they follow the manga or if the plot digresses.

I assume he means the story previews at geass.jp. The second episode seems to be Suzaku's, the third Karen's (second chapter?), fourth cape crusader's etc.

I like to think of the political setting as just that, a premise. Whether or not they're trying to send a message (and if they are, which it would seem, it's certainly not very subtle) is irrelevant to me, I'm here for the ride and I expect my nuts to tingle in excitement during it.

It was just from reading the site's previews. I haven't looked at a Newtype in awhile so I'm clueless there. lol

Grahhh! People stop focusing on Kanon, Death Note and D-Gray Man, they have enough subbers. Somebody do this one already, what is with the shaft Mecha shows always seem to get. I'm just praying gg holds to their commitment to this show as I don't think anybody else is interested, they'd rather do the 8th rendition of Kanon. And as much as I like Death Note and D-Gray Man, they have enough too. I knew this was going to happen. Stupid, H-Game shows and their unwarranted popularity, grumble grumble.

Let's be civil now. Although i can sympathize and do share your urge to have something that seems woefully underhyped subbed. (I also am wary of H-game conversions) but let's not get foam at the mouth.

I'd give a shot at subbing Code Geass, but knowing myself and my course workload, I doubt I can blog anime and sub simutanenously... Ahahah. ^^;;; Then again, I can just let my burning passion for Lelouch take over, since I have yet to see an English sub of the anime anywhere, and goddarn I'm anxious to get one, since I want to be able to share it with my non-Japanese-speaking friends.

Just found out not too long ago that it seems like the chinese translation of Lelouch's name is another origin for where his cure little nickname came from.

I find it strange that there is little interest towards fansubbing the show unless Sunrise or Bandai are already pulling a Funimation (cease fansubbing letters), but are not publically announced

Especially the king symbolism (himself). They did lay out the parallel between chess and his command of the battlefield in Ep 1, and I'm glad they kept with it. Even if they end up dropping it later on, it's refreshing, IMO, to see continuity with a character, for small details like that. It's too bad they didn't recognize each other, but their "conversation" was still chilling XD The ace pilot and the commander... Actually, in regards to Suzaku, Lloyd remarked in ep 1 how he wanted to use Lancelot but the pilot (Suzaku) was missing... obviously because he was underground (and eventually shot). I'm assuming, then, from that remark that Suzaku is The Pilot for Lancelot (plus he seems to have run through the simulator for it) and they were pretty much forced to run him out, injury be damned. Are they siblings? From reading other things, I thought they'd be cousins or something (Lelouch's mother was murdered, if I remember correctly, so it's kind of weird that Clovis is unscathed then?), but I think one of them did say "brother"... And Geass rules. But I think it only really rules because Lelouch is so badass XO
