China installed more than 60 security cameras on one street light:

"Hug China says that these cameras are hovering like pigeons over a street light in
Shanghai's Baoshan District. Originally "only" 24 cameras were installed at the
intersection but an extra 36 were added, presumably because they didn't have
room for 37. For the record, the company who installed the cameras says that
they're there to monitor traffic flow. Mmhmm."

Celebrate Being Single In China By Spending Tons of Money Online

So in November 11, while the West honors those who died in the World Wars, China sadly celebrates being single.

What's is so sad about it? Its more about a big sale day rather than being single seeing that anyone can take advantage of the sale rather than just singles.

Batman bin Suparman jailed in Singapore

Quote:
A SINGAPOREAN whose superhero-sounding name turned him into a social media celebrity has been jailed for nearly three years for theft, housebreaking and drug offences.
Batman bin Suparman, an unemployed 23-year-old whose name translates to "Batman son of Suparman", was arrested on August 19 after security videos showed him sneaking into a store at night on two separate occasions.

She's right. When I was there, the taxi and bus rides we were on were not for the faint of heart.

My school teaches computer science too, and so far -

1. They have locked out the school network with a password.
2. The school portal had tons of broken links.
3. It crashed 8-10 times since its inception in June, all of which were taken offline for up to a day during the class registration and school fee paying period.
4. Email gets trapped in their mail server.

And after hearing the biz students' reactions of "we paid them to do it so they should" and "if they wanted better equipment they should have proven that they can do well with these first!", sometimes I wonder if the syllabus and attitudes ingrained in these future managers was the cause of these all.

Who know ?
Anyway, if they had to fight against each other outside a competition, Putin is more likely to a gun or some competent goons

What the??

First of all, this holiday is honoring soldiers who served in WORLD WAR I.

You know, the War Europeans started that has nothing to do with China, other than seeing its own lands ravaged by rival armies and finally handed over to Japan as a war trophy.

It is expanded to World War II Vets ONLY IN THE UNITED STATES. In China is August 1st (Armforce's day), and in Taiwan, is Sept 3.

Jesus Christ...Laozi...chill out. It wasn't even implied MrTerrorist was somehow criticizing Glorious Motherland China. Stop being the PRC's local appointed commissar already. People poke fun at funny little cultural differences all the time.

If anything, 'Murrica's parades, flags, and veteran-worship are potentially much more disturbing to, say, a German bearing witness to Armistice Day's remembrance of the senselessness of pride, nation, and war (there's a huge reddit thread to the effect).
