If it's the manga Mio, I think the expression is spot on

The yui one is more anime yui, wspecially with the ahahahahaha tagline

Want but I think if I'm to buy one I'd get the Alter version only.

I prefer the Mio that doesn't have such a wide smile. Call me old-fashioned, but ladies should be a little subtle. (And thus, men should be more sensitive.)

I think our "BEACH" Queen Mio is based on the manga version. Depends on the sculptor on where he/she base a certain character.

Plus.. Mio isn't automatically embarrassed, mostly when she thinks people are looking at her. So that's one of her rare full smiles. erk... I'd love to have those but they tread the fine line of displayability in my home. There's a lot of excellent detail in their sculpture.

Highly unlikely. But the show is a cash cow so who knows.

Besides the figures look really nice for that prize, it's too bad it's one of those standard beach figurines that every show gets.

eyah... when I saw the price on Mio ala swimsuit (pretty cheap...) my wallet spoke before the rational brain got into first gear ... oye. I may get Azunyan and Tsumugi as well before its over.... beats the hell out of me where I'll display them though :P

I have been so resisting all of these figures, but they just keep calling. I've never collected figures, but something tells me I may fall pray to them too...

Well here I thought I finally got over the dilemna of choosing between Alter Mio and Yui, but now even nicer looking figures come out of nowhere and give me a hard time. Well, this time the figures are pretty cheap, so like Vezz I'll probably just pre-order them both now before I come to my senses. What I really want though is that hinted Azusa beach figure, especially if it's tanned Azusa. I will get that no matter what the cost. Ritsu and Mugi are meh, I won't be fooled into buying the whole set.

Given Azunyan's pose as seen in the silhouette, turning it towards the left and placing Mio on the left could have made a nice display....
