You should be able to tell that their eyes are off, not only by their size because I believe they should be slightly larger, but how the placement is also somewhat off. Check out Haruka's in the first image. Mistakes like those are usually seen in the actual animation, but on a DVD cover?

The background looks way too paintery/you can see the brushstrokes. I'm too lazy to find the Mai-Otome DVD/TV differences, but maybe I'll find it later.

Interesting, though I think the best we can hope for right now is just a small, choppy, gif animation once the entire alphabet is filled in. Certain scene, when placed in order, already match. Kind of reminds me of the Drama CD.

I'm sticking to the 'This is fanart' until some official site can tell me otherwise.

Sorry to inform you but that is "definitely" fanart.


There isn't an ounce of Hisayuki Hirokazu's original work in there. And the quality isn't professional at all.　Notice that Mai's arms do not even look decently proportioned. Some things are off scale.

This is not even on the official web page or even on the character designer, Hisayuki's webpage either.

I found them while looking around in yamibou and unfortunately I don't know how to read the language nor who the author was, so I'm glad you brought this up. Actually, I should have make note to that when I posted it. Anyway, since you know who the author was than all the credit goes to her

I saw these unique pictures over at yamibo so I thought I shared them here and asked if the Shiznat community knows anything about it. My attention was just this nothing more. Sorry, I didn't know about her "rule" until you mentioned it now

Now that I know who the creator is and it has confirmed that it was not some cd drama or ova, I would understand if the pictures were taken off

After visiting the site that Lone Wolf posted has confirmed my suspicious that it's just a fanart overall and nothing more. However, I'm glad I have the chance to viewed more of her beautiful shiznat works.
