OK, two NoitaminA shows this Summer: Gin no Saji and another one that we don't have the title for yet.
Also two Fall NoitaminA shows will be announced this July. Both will be original anime. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...oitamina-video

I kinda like this idea for some reason. Sadly when it comes to shows like these I feel that it's easy for me to miss the bigger picture of the whole thing and fail to fully appreciate it for what it is, especially by the ending but that just happens the first time I see it. The only thing iirc that I felt a bit let down on was that mole-girl didn't do so much (if not anything of significant importance), but then again it's been a while since I saw the show after all.

I loved Tsuritama but it was a complete series with a beginning, middle, and end.
A second series wouldn't really have the same impact and would just dilute the brand. It is good to see that they're keeping the hour slot, and I am wondering what the other show is going to be. I hope it's going to be something that's "Noitamina-ish"! Unless of course it's a repeat of something? |

Strictly based on theme and creative staff, Uchōten Kazoku is probably the best fit.
And I've come around on the idea of a Tsuritama II. Yes, the first one was close to flawless for a full-length series - but there's plenty of life left in the characters. And with the staff so enthusiastically affectionate towards the material, there's no reason to think that a second season couldn't be outstanding as long as the same writer/director team is involved.

Since we're talking about the barrels of popular josei manga, I'm quite curious why they've yet to animate Tramps Like Us. It did get a live-action though... There's also Suppli and Moyoco Anno's Happy Mania. Wasn't Hataraki Man (the anime) a success in terms of viewership?
