Three FLB harps feels so far away. Spamming Grimnirx2 every day plus several blue chest drops from open invites each day, and I only have three 0* harps, one from s drop and two from buying from the pendant shop. It feels like Celeste claw and Chev sword farming all over again.

Single person's experience isn't enough evidence though. I had 700 anima before I get my first (0*) harp at all. The rest were all within next 1200 anima though I think I bought pretty much a MLB harp in the meanwhile so really only 2 mlb harp for ~2k anima. I know a distant acquaintance who had 2500+ anima by the time he got 3 harps done.
For people who can't contribute a hard burst of damage fast to get into top six on pubbed raids, magna 2 grind can be quite painful. Trains are probably the only way for them to get that relatively quick but it's not easy to get into top six there either and it's much slower in any case. You can do so with 2+ harps in general but you don't really want to because grimnir is a very good call and the damage gain is only at lower hp. So perhaps when you are fighting on element with some safety or a raid that will get para cheesed. I just mentioned it because I am running a new account and sometimes you don't have anything better than another Tia on the summons list heh. If you have Nio and Scathacha then it's much better but for UBHL you still want that Grimnir. You can do something cute like an enmity Ultima sword with auto attack cap up and run Nio and Scatacha with Lecia but you generally won't have enough time to set up the burst or get enough turns at low enough hp to where it's worth it. You'd have to use tools that break the ToS and some to be able to do so in time. On the other hand, you can do Tia X Tia for t1 enmity memes with summer zooey and it's pretty strong. For things like one turn k.o. for GW meat or Xeno Vohu NM and such. No harps at all, just good old 7 guns. -- New suptix is here. I am missing Tsubasa from my character collection -- first suptix this year that I will have a character option for heh -- but I kind of don't want to spend a suptix on him. Maybe I will get a Gisla. I only have 1 atm so even if they give something good to Fallen Sword / Cute Ribbon, a second one should be alright.

That it's not exactly an easy grind just because you and I are done with it. 2k anima for 2 mlb is like at least 2k+ fights for 2 mlb. I have 4.4k Primal Bits and 1.5k HL chev centrum right now with 12 mlb swords, and I only bought out 2 mlb from the shop. Each Chev used to drop about 1 bit per raid but changed to 2-3 per raid late last year. Regardless that's less than 5k fights for 10 mlb. Compared to 2k fights for 2 mlb, it was obviously the easier grind. Just because it "feels" fairer doesn't make it fairer. M2 drop rates are at least as bad, but likely worse, than Chev sword and Ancient Eckes.
Besides, Chev sword grind was much easier because you could just leech without fighting every raid. There're also many many swords in the shop now and Metatron is another good source of them. Way more players have a six+ Chev swords grid than three Grim harps. Grimnir grind feels much nicer than Chev grind did however because people actually fight to kill him so he dies pretty fast and you can move to next much quicker than Chev HL last year who died once every hour or never. It's "fairer" in that sense that you get rewarded for fighting. But it also means people who can't put a hard damage burst in have a much tougher time with it.

You forget that Chev raud went through many adjustment.
You do know what you said does not apply to the early days. No Meta, no raid room, more time consuming Chev HL, and lower drop rate. I have 6 Chev Sword beo far, and 3 of them were done back then. The worst experience is around 300 raid and still no Chev Sword. The only thing that's about as bad in M2 for me right now is Europa Harp, which took about as many fights. |

When you consider how difficult it is to create a truly RNG, it isn't surprising results might be whacky. However, deliberately affecting the SSR % is very unlikely because a certain sample size will make that kind of scam very obvious. For example, people quickly realized Anchira had a lower rate than Eustace and Beatrix which led to that outrage (even though Cygames never stated all rate up are supposed to be equal).
Trying to cheat on the 3-6% SSR rate is suicide in term of development and business perspective, because this will lead to many issues on the long run. Also, most people fail to realize you have a whooping 94-97% chance of having no SSR. Captain obvious I know, but that number doesn't seem to sink in people's head often enough even though it should tell you that even a 100 rolls might yield 0 SSR due to the base rate. The gambler fallacy also goes very strong wiht gacha game in general, even though every single rolls do NOT affect each other at all.

I thought Wheel of Salt together with magfest would encourage me to play more, but instead I'm only logging in for the rewards. The game needs a Christmas event which isn't a grindy showdown.
