Bleach Episode 238 Discussion Thread
Good afternoon fellow Bleach fans. I was going to read the episode title to get a clue what this week's is going to be about... but then I remembered that episode title doesn't mean anything any more. So.. I figured let's just download the episode and find out for myself. Either way, they need to resolve the burning question... who will make a better wife between Tobiume and Haineko? I still think Byakuya-sama will make the better wife, but what do I know.
Enjoy the discussion. Absolutely no manga spoilers in any anime-only threads such as the weekly Episode Discussion threads. That means, no hints, or vague remarks about a future event from the manga, even within the spoiler tags. Inability to observe this rule will result in a BAN! |

Watched it. The episode stops short at being very good. The interaction between Haineko and Tobiume is funny as usual. It cracked me up when Haineko observed, "Naka naka ye mono motterono ne." Tobiume's immediate follow up only makes the funny even more obvious. It started becoming even more hilarious when Momo confronted Tobiume. Tobiume did not held back her mouth and was hitting where it hurt. She did not spare Momo at all. She even brought in the ever so touchy subject, Aizen. I was delighted. Muramasa limped along the entire episode, not giving hint at what was he up to. He dispatched hollows, gillian with apparent ease even in his weakened state. I guess the animators aren't ready to divulge the juicy parts as of yet. Hiyorinmaru was quite confused when he briefly fought Ichigo. He was asking if that was his zanpakuto when Ichigo went Bankai to nullify one of Hiyorinmaru's attack. Hiyorinmaru wanted to know if Ichigo was his master, and was quite disappointed when Ichigo replied "no". He wanted to find out who was his master and what was his name. Enter Hitsugaya who says, "it is Hyorinmaru." Like I said, the episode was good, but just stopped short at being very good. The music was impressive. The drawing and overall animation was good, but nothing spectacular. The episode preview indicates some flashback scene on Hitsugaya, probably in correlation with Hyorinmaru quandary. More Haineko and Tobiume antics against their respective master. Preview was funny.. and in the additional skits Shunshui was sporting a black eye. It was well worth it as we would find out. Who wouldn't want to walk into Unohana taicho when she was changing her kimonos...? And that's the end of that.

Huh? Hyounimaru doesn't know who he is?
Anyway would be much better without Ichigo x_x But episode was good, I love Haineko's and Tobiume's interections^^ Momo and Matsumoto looked so confused when they saw them arguing XD I kinda have a feeling that in next episode aa side chapter about Hitsugaya might be included.

Yeap. He didn't know who he was, or who was his master.. I deleted the raw already, so a line by line translation isn't possible.

Am I the only one who thinks Hyounimaru looks stupid? I just can't get past the fact that his face mark is a direct rip off of FMA. This filler arc seems to be littered with things from other animes.

I agree with Monir, this was a good episode, not great, but solidly good. I'm wondering if next episode they might do Hitsu's chapter. Tobiume vs Momo could be good if they make it a kidou based fight and not resort to smacking swords, we'll see.
