Ah, I always had a weird feeling about Shera's brother and it turns out, he's a creep after all. I hope Shera never associates with him again...

I mean, to use a flute to control his own sister. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Really, maybe we'll find out what made Shera and Keera the opposites of each other.
No, seriously if we know nothing about why Keera is the way he is afterwards, I'm doing to drop this series.
Well, actually I change my mind i'm not dropping it, still you get the idea.

But really Diablo, Rem and this glasses were the first to hear him weeping inside the room.
Surely Shera does not want to hear that out herself.

Diablo/Takuma's friends when he was little, call me crazy but is it really that weird for those two that find Takuma said "Because we're friends" line?

As I recall it was talked about a bit in the source material before this point; when Keera was ranting at Shera in the tent. But I don't think what was mentioned there was really something that would tip the balance. I think Keera just been a twisted, psychotic, egocentric lunatic his whole life.

Looks like the royal Greenwood bloodline has had more than enough inbreeding as is.

Glad this series picked up so much more depth after the near 100% fanservice first episode. I think my favorite scene so far was the funeral for the adventurers, but this episode also wasn't too bad. We finally get some more insight in how "Diablo" got his social anxiety, although that particular childhood episode was probably just one of many.

We finally got to see the slave collar in action. Interesting strength comparison to the Elf magic. I wonder if Diablo's magic strength played any role in that, or whether the strength of the collars' magic was defined by those who cast the enslavement spell in the first place? Rem is not that high level, but has a tremendous magic aura, so that might be a possible cause for the collars' power.

I'm thinking it is likely a mixture of all three of them. Diablo did say that the magic threads were a huge knot...you have the two girls magic twining as the power of the reflect kicks in on top of things in all probability. Elf magic didn't stand a chance against that...and then you add in the willingness of Sheera to answer truthfully on top of the magic.

Judging at least by the cheerful looks of the slaves for sale, I'd say it at least appears that slaves have it pretty good in this world, at least compared to slaves in most worlds (real world obviously included).

Happy healthy product sells better and for more than broken ruined product. It's simple business.

Not to be a downer but, that probably doesn't apply to the more sadistic buyers out there.

It is noted in the LN that slave traders who mistreat their slaves can be (and are) arrested. Make of that what you will.
