seirei no moribito

i am looking for anime that are similar to seirei no moribito not necessarily plot wise but that have the same kinda majestic feeling that seirei no moribito had, an anime with beutifull BGM and landscape like SnM had...

Twelve Kingdoms, nice BGM and interesting world, although the pace is somewhat slow, which didn't bother myself at all but may be a problem for others who like it faster paced.

For this "feeling" perhaps... Mushishi?

12 Kingdoms has the advantage of being a good anime beyond the first episode. Moribito's plot was like a lead weight.

I would say Twelve Kingdoms as well.

The main difference is that Twelve Kingdoms explores the history and the inner workings of its setting more, unlike Seirei no Moribito which is primarily focused on the adventure at hand.

If you don't have anything against movies I'd say Sword of the Stranger. And of course I support the recommendations of Twelve Kingdoms (one of the best character development anime ever and great fantsy world).

In terms of the same feeling, albeit a totally different setting how about the Crest of Stars series. Granted it is more of a space opera type but the themes it explores and the narration styles are similar.

There is a new anime from the same manga ka it also shares the same production house . It called Kemono no Souja Erin ~ Beast Player ~. It a tad slow at the start but picks up .

I felt that Moribito reminded me a lot of Scrapped Princess, actually. I got a lot of the same vibe from the two shows.

Certainly second that! The scenery and music are just phenomenal.
Cannot second Scrapped Princess which most of all reminded me of Trigun, both are certainly inferior to Seirei.

If you don't mind a movie, check out Princess Mononoke. Probably the most mature of the Studio Ghibli films.

Is it just me or seirei no moribito backgrounds are close to 3d?
Utawarurumono was a bit deceiving, nice cute characters but too many stupid wars to kill the cute characters +_+
