Thanks for the criticism. Whenever we watch the episodes, we do get a feeling of "heaviness" in the dialogue. We'll work on simplifying it in episode 4. However, I do feel that the genre of anime that Astraea is also hurts the feel of the dialogue.

Ep 4 is much better though the feeling of bluntness while reading the dialogues is still there more less, but I suppose the translation is necessary in some cases such as Roux or in some dialogues where it seems no way to get around it like the "game of seduction". Ep 4 was a nice episode itself, probably the best one so far though the story is still lost in me so far.

This has been a quite show, not so many comments.
I wonder how many people have been following it.


I feel really sorry for Ruu, getting captured and mutilated like that can really piss a person off.
Seeing the guy who did it to him hang out at a party where firiel is dancing with the prince guy
is a strange feeling.


My biggest question is what is the relationship between firiel and ruu supposed to be.
She seems preoccupied with him in a sense. But, OTOH, she doesnt recognize internally
or externally that she likes him as a lover, rather than just a family member. Its too bad their
kiss in the hallway was interrupted, that would have probably made things clearer. She loves the balls with
dancing and gentry, and certainly seems to get along well with the prince like characters.
Her determination seems to waver alot, so it unclear what she really wants to do moving
forward. I could see her going either way.


Ruu clearly cares about her, but probably strictly in the "girlfriend" way, and he's unlikely to
be confused about that. However, getting with her is not his primary concern- mostly he
is consumed by a need for revenge. He has very little personal power ATM, and is basically
a pawn in the bigger game.


The prince guy, yuushisu i think, clearly wants to get firieru, and apparently is trying to propose to
her or somethnig. He recognizes Ruu as his rival, which ruu is unaware of. The prince
at the very least has enough power to make sure ruu wont get in his way. He is currently a
"good guy" but he seems to have plenty of "bad guy" potential, being that with his position the
slightest action can have far reaching consequences.

I think srin is refering to episode 6.

The kiss in episode 4 seemed a bit traumatic to firiel. It didnt seem final.
Plus, while she continued to care about Ruu, she is still flirting around with other guys,
so she doesnt quite seem like she has decided Ruu is her one and only yet. (or she's not into exclusivity ? ) I still feel she is not yet fully awakened or decided to what she feels. (At the
very least she knows how Ruu feels though, be made that clear)

The reason the kiss in episode 6 would have been more significant in my mind is because it
would have been witnessed. If they had to go above board about liking each other then they'd
be forced to either get together or break up.

Im awaiting episode 7, because I want to know how she reacts to the underhanded proposal thing.

Wha? Roux is younger than Firiel? Holy shit, that disturbed me a lot. Not because of the age factor, but Roux's constant switching between looking like a boy and a man is way too ackward for me to fathom. Thinking he's at least older than Firiel who's 15 would at least serve some comfort to me. Now I'm feeling weird seeing him. -.-

Also, I'm seriously surprised that Roux isn't voiced by Junko Minagawa. Whoever Hiromi Hirata is, she totally mimicked Junko's voice. ><

Left me breathless. They're having to rush to get a whole story into a small number of episodes, but they're making it work. And it's leaving me emotionally drained. Firiel has great conversations with Eusis, Adale, the Count, and Roux. And Roux's other conversation is pretty powerful, too. I'm totally bowled over by the intensity and freshness of Orikasa Fumiko's performance. And delighted with the work of Saitou Chiwa in what seems such a new kind of role for her, as Adele.

This type of episode always makes me sad.
I hate it when the one of the lovers is cold and cruel to the other in an attempt to protect them.

I think Ruu is jealous, and really wants to be with firieru.
But after saying such mean things it seems like she really is going to end up with yuushisu.

I have to take back what I said earlier about Firieru not having her mind made up.
She seems to have really decided that Ruu is who she loves. The way she went to him
after two separate individuals tried to force a kiss on her (one more nicely than the other)
and she tried to solicit a kiss from Ruu was very romantic.

Well, the one good development is that Ruu seems to know his enemy at least now.
Whether he will be consumed by revengelust or shake out of it in time to save Firieru
remains to be seen. His being cruel to her, even if it was with good intentions, now
means that he does not truely deserve her anymore.

I never understood why you would hurt someone to protect them from being hurt.
I guess it makes a better story, because it leaves me twisting :P

It seems they have started introducing some actual magic into the show for a change.

I do wonder who actually killed riez, I sortof doubt Ruu did it- So I presume the phantom person did. It was sortof sad how weak ruu is though.

I have no idea what the firebirds feather is going to be about, or how its going to decide who gets to be queen.

Episode 8 has gone beyond volume 4 of manga. Some setting change but the main essense is still the same.

Episode 7 was very good. Fiel and Adale were absolutely wonderful (I prefer Friel dressed like that than that stupid outfit they made her wear during her battle against Ravena).

This is my favourite spring anime with Jyu Oh Sei and I can't wait for the next eps ! G Adale go !! More funny yaoi fanfics ! XD
