Spoiler for Episode 2:

The second episode is just as good as the first, and a new scenario suddenly appears : Shido is now training to date the girls according to Kotori's contract, and now he's finally able to date the Spirits, starting with Tohka. However, the Anti-Spirit Team, which was mostly consisted of mecha-equipped female fighters (including Origami who's part of the team) is trying to defeat Tohka, but something somewhat miraculous is saved. It then ended with Tohka finally joining Shido's harem. The story looks pretty good so far, and I like how Shido doesn't act too whiny but seemed troubling during heavy situations that happens to him. Tohka is the absolute central of the episode, not to mention her ending theme sung by Iori Nomizu looks extraordinary. Looks like the next episode will finally start his first date quest with Tohka !

Now that's funny as hell, it's true that the characters (especially the females) all have the same eye shape, but at least my mind is able to separate them thanks to their own specific physical traits !

This was as bad as the Aku no Hana premiere. This is exactly why light novels deserve no respect more often than not. Remarkably generic, and just lacking in all departments of execution (sound, visuals, voice acting). There is nothing presented here about the story that makes me want to grapple onto it, and the characters are just boring. And please can someone make that imouto disappear?

Ridiculous.

You're right in looking at the eyes, but it's not the shapes. When I posted the images again, you should take a closer look at the eyes of the two that I separated out, and compare them to the eyes of absolutely everyone else.

I find ridiculous your appreciation. This show, since the very adaptation announcement, was expected to be a kaminomi-like series with scifi elements so I don't what do you had in mind e.e. To each their own, I guess.

I wonder why you are still watching it After episode 1, it's unlikely I'll continue with this. But for the record, I'll keep my opinions of this to the anime, since I haven't read anything from the LN and shall reserve my judgement on that for another day.

And while I agree LNs in general have been swarmed with rehashed stuff filled with moe/harem/imoutos in the last 5 (or more?) years, the blanket judgement on how 'bad' LNs are is uncalled for. I can list 10 LN titles right now that are far from 'generic' (IMO), and nothing resembling this:
1. Rental Magica
2. Chrome Shelled Regios
3. Asura Cryin'
4. Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (even though the literary style is questionable )
5. Toradora
6. Kami-sama no Memochou
7. Kokoro Connect
8. Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria
9. Kino no Tabi
10. Iris on Rainy Days

Furthermore, titles like Fate/Zero and Another have been republished under LN labels, in addition to their original Bunko labels. And Hyouka first started under a LN label before the switch.

Outside of battles the animation is really weak indeed and some of the BGMs are rather dull. Indeed, everything looks stiff as rock and it seem like they are running thin on budget. I'm just hoping they are saving all the budget for some spectacular battles later on.

It's generic but can be a pretty fun show if they can pull it off. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.
