Well yeah. The game had a lot of counters going on. But the only way for hydras to take down my upgraded bc's would for them to be in mass really, and if he massed hydras, I would've started pumping out more tanks. But oh well, I don't know. There are always so many "if's." Had he not started building roaches earlier, my marine/helion combo would've utterly destroyed him.

Hydras get owned by tanks since SC1 :/ tbh I want the defiler over the infestor they take off 3 of my only fav zerg units lurker, scourge.. >_>

It all comes down to amounts of units & micro. If the T has no raven your infestor should have burrow :O. Hide & cast go for a fungal or mind control. You use lings to deal with tanks, no hydras unless you outnumber them or you got korean skills. Zerg need that flank :/ get a surround and w.e . So to go against a tank/bc army I'd use corrupters, cracklings, and maybe infestors imo, though you can still do hydra but it's kinda risky. Now if they have like a total huge mix army than you prob at that stage where you can have banes, lords, or even ultras if not w.e have you been doing. Zerg is probably the easiest class to transit we only need a certain building to get that unit from any hatchery.

Stupid things that I just realized:

If you're zerg and are trying to make a bunch of the same units from larva, instead of tapping the key repeatedly, you could just hold down the button for the same effect.

You can chrono boost buildings using the minimap.

Come on Archon,

Who reads the manual these days?

All we do is just grab the game, pop it into the computer, and expect to know everything there already is to know about it.

*Picks up manual*

Maybe because it's just the regular edition, so it doesn't say much

*throws it away*

I don't like to do that, I do a lot of mistakes that way. I rather put the building I want to boost on screen then click.

Well, it's still useful early game since there aren't much buildings to chrono. =p

Also, guardian shield seems to help quite a bit more than I'd think it would.

It's a good day overall. Rising over 20 positions up the ladder in my division in a space of 5 games without resorting to cheese or rush tactics in a space of 5 games.

It's kind of amazing that almost nobody in Bronze League paid any heeds to a need of early air defense from Banshees Raids, even after a month. Game is certainly almost over with a couple of them cloaking and killing worker units.

Sometimes they're so ill-prepared for it, you can just pick off their nexus/CC/hatch just like that :P

I still sometimes forget to prepare for them in my 1v1 matches because I don't think anyone truly has the audacity to really try it.

You just said the best thing ever I even did this, but just looked at the manual only because I was installing Starcraft, then threw it away once it was finished. It kinda throws away the company's purpose of making a manual, but still its quite simple-knowledge to just use the tutorials in the game, and play the campaign.

Had a really fun game today with some friends and I thought I should share

Morale of the story? Never give up harassing even if a 3v3 becomes 2v3
(I'm sure there was a lot more things I could have improved on here ie...get a quicker expansion damnit! and my macro sucks balls but overall I was happy to have been able to pull through in the end ).

Were you orange in that game? If so yeah you did need to expand you had map control of the game for a long time, so it was surprising you dint take advantage and expanded so you can dual-spam Mutas

I was the protoss player (DKZ) so I couldn't make Mutas
Still doesn't excuse my lack of expansion

Once in a 2v2, a Zerg player used an Infestor to MC one of my Protoss builders, using that builder he built Stargates and massed Void Rays..

So that makes Zerg able to control 3 factions if done right

But still an interesting match, I was thinking you guys would have been overwhelmed when you lost the Protoss player early-game, but Void Rays are cheap and took out Teal in retaliation

Completed my Brutal play through (third play through overall) this morning. For some reason, it felt easier than Hard... Maybe because it's my third time playing it and there were no achievement constraints to hold me back.

Also, finally got that blasted gold achievement for Lost Viking today as well... I'm not very good at it (just yesterday my highest score was 25,000) so I'm really happy I finally got it.

I'm not interested in online play (I'm probably terrible at it anyways) so I'm pretty much trying to get all the offline achievements while playing some custom/co-op multi-player games.

Hmm I just realized I didn't say my SC2 ID. Yseris #450

I agree some of the brutal levels are easier since you don't have to worry about some of the limitations the hard achievements forced onto you.
