Wonderful! I'll have a lot more to say once I get back from work but...
Spoiler:
Holy shit is Solva amazing. Look at her take care of Kafka and then when his twisted body regenerates, she does it again by saving Seto despite being attacked by Kafka again. She's badass. Too bad that her Anti on the spear caused Mio to get hit buy it but this way Mio will develop a Stigmata.
I've always joked Mio would develop a bear Stigmata on her butt to match her panties. Was only a joke then but I hope it really happens now lol.
Kefka's definitely been exposed to Eden seed with that regeneration ability, but he seems to be more like Teruyama's clone right now. Glad we won't have to wait too long to see if he developed a Stigmata or not.
Oh, and scientist with the moe haircut, hilarious.
Haha this chapter is awesome. I'm still following this series ardently, but it's taken until the most recent few chapters to really grab me again. Here's a quick summary of what's going on in this chapter, to help clear some things up:
Spoiler:
Setsuna explains that the shoujo butai have been given the mission of finding and killing Yamada. She tells Mio that she can opt out if she wants, since she knows that she's traveled with and grown attached to Cruz and that this mission would be hard on her. Mio accepts the offer and stays behind. However, she's spurred into action upon realizing that Cruz has infiltrated the lab without any help, and decides to help out Cruz anyway. She asks the scientists if Teruyama can be revived, and they respond that it's possible. It just so happens that one of them is a member of the shoujo butai fanclub. He gladly hands over what remains of Teruyama, which is apparently still alive - though he warns that he won't live for much longer. The scientist asks Mio for a favor in return, and ominously requests that she "grasp" his "rod." This is of course revealed at the end of the chapter to be a silly joke about bending an iron pipe.
Uten taunts Seto some more and mentions that the purpose of the Needless hunt is so Arclight can find the 12 stigmata carriers. Seto's impending death upsets Solva quite a bit, to the extent that she uses her magnetism powers to construct a mech and then make a building fall on Kafka (I always did think her ability was extraordinarily underutilized, until now). She's capable of thoroughly tearing apart Kafka in this powered up state, but alas Kafka regenerates. He explains that this regeneration is the power of the Eden Seeds and taunts Seto by telling her that she won't be able to kill him with these kinds of petty attacks.
Solva doesn't care though. She was just buying time so that she could take care of her first priority - anti'ing Uten's spear out of Seto. I figured she was going to use it as a weapon herself, but...well...your guess of what Mio is going to do with it is as good as mine.
Mio mentions near the end that she is looking for Cruz and Onii-chan. Maybe she hopes to get Teruyama healed by Eve? Man Teruyama really can't be having a good time inside that bag...oh, and the "preview" tag line at the end of the chapter says "Will Mio join the battle next chapter?"
I can't wait for the next chapter. With any luck we'll see it pretty soon!
^
Welcome back Kefit. Glad to see you're back again with a post. And thanks for the summarization, too, that certainly helps.
Spoiler:
About Uten's spear, I have two curiosities with it. One, does that mean Uten has lost some of his power by taking out the condensed Eden's Seeds and is now less power (and maybe not able to regenerate like other Eden's Seed Needless?) If so, he might be able to be killed without that spear in his body. Secondly, I am concerned about Mio catching it and with the blood coming out on the either side. I hope Mio didn't pierce herself with the spear and that is blood from the spear going out. Mio doesn't appear to suffer any pain or damage so that's a good sign.
I was wondering about that as well, but since as you said Mio doesn't appear to be in any pain, the blood most likely came from the spear alone. I just hope nothing bad happens to her as a result of her having that thing. Might be interesting to see what would happen to Teruyama if she was to poke him with it.

^absolutely
Mio has a bag with someone who's messed up enough to certainly die very soon and in the other hand she has an object which can give someone immense regeneration capabilities.....plus Teruyama was great experimentation material and scientists have already succeeded in implanting edenseed in his clones... I don't know how it exactly will happen but if Teruyama doesn't get poked with with that spear before he'll truly die I'd be veeeeery surprised. Eve doesn't have that highly concentrated Derodoron solution anymore so she shouldn't be able to heal him which makes edenseed the only viable option for Teruyama to survive. In my opinion it's all just too much of a coincidence to not be used like that.
From what it's told, there seems to be 2 types of Eden Seed.
Spoiler for spoiler:
Kafka's (and by extension, Teruyama's clone). For the first, the user gains some kind of advanced high speed regeneration ability as well as a possible boost in power.
The later Eden Seed is the real deal, easily recognized if the needless bears the Stigmata. Those with the mark are said to be closer to God, hence why they're capable to perform feats that normal needlesses couldn't. For example, turning organic matter invisible would be one of these unthinkable achievements.
And I agree with Ynot, that spear shall be used on Teruyama... NOW!!
^ Could be, but perhaps instead of more than one type it's more a matter of concentration of eden seed.
Spoiler for 97:
Uten pierced Seth's skin with the spear but didn't pull it back after a second, no he kept it within her. Now that may be because he's a sadistic little bastard(quite likely) or perhaps it's because there's a certain threshold of edenseed which need to be within a host to properly do it's job and kill the Needless or awaken the stigmata within. So maybe Seth will receive a power-up but not a stigmata, just like which seems to have happened to Teruyama's clone.
Chapter 98 is out in Japan. Saw the one sentence synopsis on Ultra Jump's website for the chapter, too. Could we get 2 new chapters in one week? I hope so because that means we'd get be getting 98 in only a few days!
