I even liked the first episode, good animation and rhythm, and the story seems interesting, it's always good something related to Kaiji. But the narrator is really annoying, the Japanese also agreed, now it is either getting used to it or watching in the mute.

Anyway, looks like this show will basically be about what happened behind the scenes during the Kaiji series. Should be interesting. I can't say this episode was a very strong start, but the scene with Tonegawa trying to remember the names of the black suits was pretty funny.

I'm disappointed that they didn't get Fumihiko Tachiki to narrate this spin-off, because his seriousness would have made this show funnier. The first half of the episode had too much recapping for the benefit of people who didn't watch or don't remember the first Kaiji TV series, plus some setup that made this seem like a serious prequel, but the second half made me laugh quite a bit. If the rest of the show will be like that, then I think I'll have a good time watching it every week.

Narrator was more bearable in the second episode. It's pretty fun to watch Tonegawa struggle so much when you already know which game he'll settle on. Now I'm curious to find out how they'll go back to rock-paper-scissors after he dismissed the idea along with the others.

I really liked this episode, the narrator does not bother me anymore, maybe because I saw the first episode 3 times. I loved the reference to Akagi.

Oh man, episode 3. The irony was off the charts. Tonegawa happily having a barbecue using the plate that will one day cook him.
I sure hope the Teiai guys clean it after use. Not that it makes it any less horrifying when you actually know what it's usually used for. Poor Yamazaki.

Okay, I love the narrator now. "Power Point!"
Tonegawa's human mahjong idea was actually pretty good, but Saemon-Saburo raised valid objections, and his Restricted Rock Paper Scissors was a better idea. I guess we'll have one more episode about them refining the idea and then presenting it to Hyoudou. Afterward, it'd be nice to see the game on Espoir from Tonegawa's point of view.
