the color palette and large areas of animation determine how much Kb a gif takes.

getting rid of the background in all the frames after the first frame helps to save Kb usually, but not in all cases where the action takes up large spaces. so the more simple the color the more action you can have and vice versa.

This is not really the thread to explain this in, there's another thread filled with tons of tips and tricks, but In this GIF, all magic happens in the background

I made my own static clean background from two to three frames, patching, clonetooling and blurring them together and such.. and then cut the original background from all frames making the background I made the fixed background for all frames.. with this I don't have to account for overlapping the pieces of the first original frame so I save an X% of extra space.

timeconsuming, but sometimes well worth the effort.

In this case less rewarding since it was a crappy source to begin with, but it killed some time

That's more like it but the word Ryuko kinda unseen coz it's colour is bright with the arm of the pic. How about putting another colour that little bit darker on the word Ryuko so it can be seen. Thanks for the avy I like it.
