The Dayon Instrumentality Project didn't really work out in the end.

Top marks for Jyuushimatsu for helping the dolphins to escape, though.

I felt for Ichimatsu. I know what it's like being unable to sleep because somebody around you is making too much noise. I liked the end of the skit, with Osomatsu turning out to be the most inconsiderate of them all (not really surprising).

You know, when you think about it, Osomatsu is really the only full-out A-hole among the brothers The others are all basically good-hearted losers in their own way.

Except for Todomatsu who literally has no heart. He doesn't go out of his way to screw with his brothers though, so that's a point in his favor.

I think people take that "no heart" gag way too literally.

Yeah, I think people underestimate Totty. Choromatsu (or was it Osomatsu?) had a good point in the Todomatsu's Line episode that he's so self-centered he basically has no interest in other people, and we've seen from time to time that he mostly just uses everyone around him. Sure, he does really love his brothers, somewhere deep down, but even so he's willing to cut them off or even backstab them if they're in his way. He's my second favorite but he'd probably score pretty high on a sociopath test...

So that's how the recording sessions for Osomatsu-san are done. Seems legit.

Yes, they went pretty meta in the C part. I wonder how long it took them to record that part, and how many retakes they had to do because someone kept cracking up... (In one of the S1 episodes you can hear Irino Miyu giggling in the background during one of Karamatsu's scenes, I don't want to think about how many takes they had had already by then for the director to just leave it in there. ) In general, I really wish they had filmed some of the recording sessions and released them as BD extras or something, this is a cast and staff that has a really great chemistry, and I'm sure they're having a lot of fun during recording.

As for the A part, oh Karamatsu and your issues. Poor guy, he hates being a doormat but still embraces being one because he's too insecure to say no, and this is the only way he feels noticed and appreciated. This came up with the flower monster episode too, where he apparently really enjoyed being depended on by someone, even if it was a terrible monster. I guess it strokes his ego and feeds his narcissism, while at the same time gives him validation that he doesn't get otherwise... I wonder, though, about what sort of warped view he has of his brothers - Choromatsu's impressions of them were mean of course, but come on Karamatsu, how do you see your brothers if you didn't recognize them? (I guess the show didn't go there because if it turned out that Karamatsu has an overly idealistic view of his brothers that would make people pity him even more.)

Anyway, I love the Karamatsu/Choromatsu dynamics and was happy to see some of it in action in this episode. My hope of hopes is still a Karamatsu/Osomatsu and/or Karamatsu/Todomatsu episode, though - that I'm by now fairly sure is not going to happen, the writers don't seem to be particularly interested in these pairs, sigh.

As for the B part, let's just say I wish I could show it to a certain coworker I have. Not sure if she would take the hint, though.

Yeah this part is way too real that I would like to send it to some certain people too

And goddamn Matsumblr , the staff really knows where to find their English-speaking fans well.

seeing the brothers suffer is satisfying, then again they will still do all the shitty things even after all of that.

Moral of the story: in a survival situation stick with Juushimatsu. (Better yet, don't piss off Chibita...)

I love how the parents were like "whatever this is, we're sure they deserved it." They've pretty much given up hope...

didn't Jyushimatsu scored a girl in the 1st season? as in the one with a disturbing backstory? & she appeared in this season as well as 'dolphin' Jyushimatsu's trainer, so not sure about his jealously towards his 'student' of him having one, unless he only views the girl he had as a dear friend, not romantically interested in her.

the part about Todomatsu, was that meant to be a parody of an actual reality show? like is it popular?
