Impressions are just starting to come in, but generally people seem satisfied with the way all the plot threads are coming together to point to the conclusion.

The report on AkibaBlog today is posting an image of a rather important breakdown of the history of the feud between Kirino and Kyousuke -- how it started, how it escalated, and how it's working towards getting resolved. It seems to have started with Manami driving a wedge between them in the past, and as Kyousuke got closer and closer to Manami's family, Kirino became further estranged. To that point, even though Kirino wasn't talking to Kyousuke as much, she still admired/liked him. It wasn't until another incident three years ago involving Manami that Kirino really started hating Kyousuke, and that lasted two years until the "Life Counselling" started. And, as we already know, the story of the OreImo novel timeline has basically been about thawing Kirino's hatred of Kyousuke and reviving her feelings for him. Now, of course, Kyousuke has to figure out his feelings in the midst of all this, and it looks like that will be resolved in the last volume.

By the way, Onii-chan-kko was indeed the "someone who loves their older brother" sense, just for the record.

But yes, with Volume 11, what happened in the Kirono route of the second PSP game makes perfect sense.

Yup, I know, I was trying to put it in some sort of a timeline for people who were having a bit of a hard time following the fragments.

And well, to be honest, the plot development fit quite well with what has been suggested all along, so it makes a lot of sense.

The most interesting thing to me is Manami's efforts to try to diminish Kyousuke in Kirino's eyes (and perhaps even in his own eyes), and not just once but multiple times. It does sort of support your "final boss" comment, though I feel like there must be more to the story. Was she really doing that to keep him within her grasp, and is her "plain girl" image really just an act to appeal to the Kyousuke she "created"? That also sort of explains some of her PSP game endings as well... If I'm following all that the story is implying, then she really is a rather frightful girl. Fear the quiet ones indeed...

Manami being a sort of last boss was expected, but I doubt many would have thought she would have done THAT to have been the last boss.

Its been believed that Oreimo was not an incestuous novel. Do the events of volume 11 serve to support that belief or deny it since the information that has been said leads the idea that the story has a potential romantic incestuous subplot i.e. Kirino's crush on Kyousuke and "her desire to do something to him before graduation"(Sumeragi).?
