He's saying he doesn't have a premium account, Stark. So he can't watch it legally for a week and with the exception of the first episode, he will have to watch in 360p.

I'm US. I'm complaining that I'll have to wait a week after it airs in Japan because I'm not a paying Crunchyroll member as all Crunchyroll simulcasts are available on their release day only for those with the premium membership.

Actually, I didn't really see where he originally stated he wasn't a premium member. All I saw was, "it's the worst news of the day and I have to wait for a week". I guess it was implied but he didn't directly state it because if he did, I wouldn't of replied in the first place.

Still, I don't see how it's the "worst news" today. You could just subscribe or find a guest pass. It's not a "worst news" at all since premium members can watch it in the U.S. (which you state as your location).

Anyways, back on topic. I'm curious to see how this show will turn out to be like. The first episode might establish the pacing although I think it might be a 1 cour.

I don't like Crunchyroll's premium namely because it's free for a limited time and then you have to pay afterwords. As I do not have a steadily flowing income, that would be a bad choice. That's why I prefer Hulu, since as long as it's anime I don't have that problem. If it was an American TV show then I'd have to pay, but it's anime so I don't.

CR's the only LEGAL site to watch it on, and LEGAL sites usually guarantee being able to watch the anime in high quality while other sites, not so much.

Well the series can be serious if it wants to, and that's about half the time. The other half is comedy gold. I can't wait for the Arata and Headmaster comedy duo to be animated.

This is exactly how it goes with my imagination as expected. While the visuals aren't exactly great and are often inconsistent like in the manga, they are done better in this version. I'm so glad Yoshino didn't mess up Arata's character and it looks like it follows the original souce's story accordingly with the character dialogue and direction. The background art was fantastic, it reminds me of Z/X Ignition with all the detailed backgrounds and perspective that made other series' backgrounds looks like a elementary school kid's crayonned drawing in comparison.

There's two things that bother me, starting with Arin's nudity. With all the heavy steam that covers the gigantic bathroom, I really can't tell if it was done on purpose or just as an excuse to hide potential nipples with white beam just to sell BDs, that's really hard to tell. Second, the opening was astounding in both sound and visuals indeed, even though the manga's pacing was fast enough, I'm seriously worried about how the writer will butcher the pacing. With 12 episodes confirmed, that adds enough insult to the injury.

So far I'm very optimistic, I love the characters and while the story was indeed generic, reflecting the days where I enjoyed Negima! (which also belong in the same genre), the concept involving the magic system themed around the Seven Deadly Sins (as seen in the title) was so fun to enjoy, not to mention the OST is seriously perfect as expected of Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund. Looking forward to watch the rest as I've already reached past the mid-point and we'll see how Yoshino can go on when he handles the adaptation.
