In all seriousness, I think we'll see Vol. 10 in a few months. But I'm just saying to keep it in mind that we may very well never see it.

We have entered an endless recursion of the first step on the road to disappointment.

Wow, I'm really tired of all the "K-ONed" complaining bullsh*t. It's an f-ing standard "moe" style that tons of artists use... yeah, they tweak it here or there in an attempt to be "unique" but it's pretty much the same.

BTW, do you people have the memory span of a goldfish? How about we take a look at the earlier light novel illustrations. Yeah, the SOURCE material for the character designs.
Spoiler for Light Novel pics:

On the contrary, I don't really care one way or the other. As long as the journey is interesting, the destination doesn't matter to me.

Yeah, it was a joke based in a single image that happens to be similar to K-ON style(posted by Daniel Lind).

I don't think it is similar to K-ON at all. Is not similar to Haruhi2006 style either.

It's pretty similar to 2009 style though.

Gee, of course it just "happens" to be similiar.
Doesn't really matter that even a single image of such nature disproves the claim that 2009 designs are somehow set farther away from original illustrator's work than 2006.

I don't agree. Mikuru, maybe but not Yuki. Actually, that art with she and 'her' 'minnions' explain why I don't really like 2009 Yuki. She is more cute, but no really fit ithe the role.

Hmmm, I never disagree with that. Actually, there is such claim? I mean people don't like 2009 style cause is not similar to 2006 style, nothing to do with Itou's style. 2006 is not similar to her style either.

Some people in this thread claim that 2009 went farther from Ito's style than 2006.
Which is hardly so.

I can barely spot the differences between Noizi's Yuki, 2006 Yuki and 2009 Yuki.
Funny, I consider myself a Yuki fan.

You posted 3 images with Yuki. In the first one she is just ugly. Not really similar to 2009(where she is really pretty).

The last one is kinda ambiguous. I could say it is similar to 2009 Yuki. But it remember me more the best shots of Nagato in 2006 (that year she had some wonderfull shots and some crappy ones).

The second image have nothing to do with 2009 style tough. She has a darker face here, really giving the 'creepy' impression it is mentioned in the books while wearing that outfist. 2009 witch Yuki is just cute as always.

Itou's style doesn't look much like 2006 Haruhi, K-On, or 2009 Haruhi, imo. It's unique from all of the above. So... I don't see much point in people bringing it up in a discussion pertaining to the art style of the anime unless folks want Itou's art style to be adopted by the anime.

Haruhi is now even more hated than before because of E8 and so on. That's what I mean. I know that there were always haters but now even former "fans" began to drop it.... Oh, and I started watching the show at the end of the original run, so that I had a lot of discussions about it since back then.^^

That H-game she worked on? "Alice Parade" or something like that?

It's sad that E8 caused people to hate the series. Why couldn't they just look at the bright side? The fandom's reactions were hilarious.

This is a paradox. You are saying that the andom's reactions beinghilarious is the bright side. However people just look the bright side, then there wouldn't be hilarious fandom reaction. Then it would be no bright side, then it would be hilarious fandom reaction, then people would see it and don't react, then it would be no bright side....

Anyway, I beieve the people who hate EE are the fans who were waiting for it for 3 years. This people mostly still watching, anyway. Casual fans probably just be annoyed and many have just quit watching it.... Which is worse, actully.

The best jokes are the short ones, they say.
Overly dragged-on jokes aren't fun.
