@eras: The whole point of adding a second one-off ability isn't powering Ichika up. It's a plot point.

So... I wrote a random draft the other day. I will post a part so you can troll me give me some advices.

I said and jumped off from the top of the laboratory, accelerating at full speed to attack him.

I don’t know how much speed we took before the collision, but it was enough to break the ground below us. Immediately, we got locked on a really bad hand grip, resulting on a power struggle so strong between us, which would seem that the fate of the earth itself was at stake.

“Don’t underestimate me! I have the same power as you!”

I began to push him back with all the strength that the unit had. Looks like I was about to achieve it.

“Keep moving MK IV!”

He yelled, and immediately all my efforts where in vain.

Shit, after all the differences between the MK I and the MK IV are overwhelming. But there’s something that he doesn't have.

I managed to deliver a kick to his chest using the right leg, breaking the hand grip that we had.

After all, she did a lot for me even when I was a weakling. The only thing that I could do now is avenge her, with the very same weapon she used to fight with.

I had completely forgotten about it. MK IV’s primary weapon: The Yukihira Sanshiki

A sword made entirely made of orichalcum, the strongest metal on the whole word. A freaking Katana that has a total length of almost 8 meters long, sharper enough to cut through the Leopard 3 armor like a hot knife on butter.

It is pretty interesting when you can stop to contemplate the sword… but I don’t have time for doing it now.

“Raaaaaaaaaaaggggghhhhh!”

I managed to dodge the attack just in time. And saw the big freaking hole he just made on the ground.
Even if that sword is big, is too heavy to use. Even the Alteisen Class IS has problems while using that sword…

With that disadvantage of my enemy I can say I’m faster than him…
Then I noticed how one of my left wings fell down and explode.

Looks like I wasn’t fast enough.

I decided that it was enough and hit the accelerator to try to make some distance between us. Even if is only for a second, I will be able to raise the stakes a little more.

I managed to pull out 200 meters of distance. I think this will be enough.

He’s still trying to move that big sword, with little success. Surely it will give me 2 minutes at least.

Now… let’s do it!

“S.T.A.R.D.U.S.T Double S mode!”

I gave the order, and immediately several extensions began to materialize at the joints of my wings.

I don’t know if this will work, but at least I need to give it a try.

“Raiser, Activation!”

The last command lined up the six swords to my front. I raised the Yukihira, and activated the laser beam on it.

One by one, each sword began to take their specific places.

When the last one was attached, the laser on the Yukihira covered the joints, and its color changed from blue to green.

Now, we’re on the same level…

Looks like he’s also ready because when I finished, he began to charge at full speed.

I did the same thing, with my sword raised.

Again, the speed we took before the collision was unable to determinate.

Our sword collided with each other, while sparks fly over. The impact force was enough to break more the ground beneath us.

Again, he was trying a cleave-like attack. So I moved to the right almost a second before the sword impacted me.

And, as it was predictable, the sword was stuck on the ground again, but this time I won’t be so honorable.

“Take this!”

I used the propulsion systems to increase the attack’s power of the sword. As I thought, he will not be able to dodge it, or at least he didn’t seem to… Oh shit!

“Die!”

His chest began to glow with a red light.

Then I realized… he wasn’t trying to get his sword off the ground, but instead he stuck the sword on purpose on the ground so the recoil of the blaster wouldn’t affect him.

'I forgot completely about the Chest Blaster', this are my thoughts as I went flying due the force of the blast, but luckily, the shield absorbed the impact.

I stopped at least 60 meters away from him. That thing is strong, what where thinking those freaking scientist when created THAT machine?

Forget it, isn’t worth the trouble.

With speed I got up from the ground, and I prepare to go against him again but then I noticed a strange sound.

Like broken glass.

I plan to use this as a prologue to a fanfic but I need to know if it will have some hope, so sadly luckily I need your seal of approval.

Exactly, the 'super mode' thing is used only when shit hits the fan and DOWN again.

Mode 1: Normal Form, is normal looking for a normal second shift unit. Four booster, fusion powered. Setsura is slightly bigger than the other arm. It' function is limited to standard beam claw, beam rifle, and barrier amplifier. It has access to 6 hardpoints of Hanger system.

Mode 2: Engagement Form, ByakuShiki turned into military unit with more armor enclosure including special visor, the wings unfolding, revealing a pair of hidden booster that is impractically loud and can disturb EVERYONE nearby (including I.S. pilot who has sound filter turned on, this is the function of alternate visor). Setsura grew into monstrous size with gigantic piercing claw (formed by three Koyuki Barrier Void Dagger no less), palm cannon that combining Ignition boost with plasma provided by the nuclear reactor mentioned, and shield that can utilize Reiryaku Byakuya. Thing is, it gradually eats SP even at the idle, and in average combat condition, will deplete the entire reserve in 5 minute or less (not counting barrier void usage), adding insult to the injury, the Hanger system is unusable, meaning all sub equipment will be ditched.

@zero: sounds like when lucifer fell o.o' I try to imagine engagement form and I get an image of the mutated professor from resident evil 2.(berkin, methinks his name was) The time limit certainly reminds me of pseudoshift. It actually works very well.

Incidentally, this mode first appeared in gospel battle. When Ichika rematerializes again in normal mode, the engineers (and Chifuyu) is confused, then Ichika explain about the danger of using that form. So, the Normal form is closer to anime, minus Reiryaku Byakuya focusser. The second form is the novel version touched by Nurgle

For some reason... I imagine the fight between pseudoshift D and engagement form would be DBZ levels @_@ I stare at it in awe. No solid state weapons though so it'd probably get ripped to shreds

Edit: Feel that it is not good enough..... (I am a partial perfectionist.. An Imperfect Perfectionist who try to be perfect but can't because of incompetency)

May be I will implant new idea into the fic.... (Mind you, most of my concept I mentioned earlier can be implant into my universe easily because most of them are expansion pack, put together into one package..)

It's a boarding school, so normally there will be a curfew.
