Synopsis

Touno Hifumi learned various martial arts and discipline from childhood. One day, he was summoned to another world. Hifumi, who was suppressing his desire to kill people in modern Japan, decided to continue living in a different world. A human being who was forged in martial art to his limits, with a distorted sense of ethics, kills people without a second thought, has been called to a different world.

I tried looking for a thread for this but didn't find any. There's 13+ chapters released so far and it's been updated fairly frequently with over 140+ chapters publishing. The first chapter (titled 'Flip The Switch' I believe) really got this going and showed us what the MC can do. He is quite OP and the main female character is plenty strong herself too.

I've only read up to chapter 50, but it really doesn't seem the sort of novel to do that, or at least not on screen.

Hifumi is scared that if he gets into a relationship, it might change him from a mass-murdering maniac into not that. So he's avoiding that, but Origa is completely obsessed with him and is hoping for a relationship. He's aware of this of course and essentially tells her to put it on hold for now.

Also not sure why the people on MU listed this as harem; the only girl into him and stays around him is Origa. Well, I supposed that could change in later chapters, I just can't see it based on what I've read so far.

I actually like this novel.

The adventures of Hifumi trying to create a world of war just so he have a decent fight is pretty fun. And it's amusing when the author has to leave a note in the chapter to apologize for only killing one person in it. Did I mention there's a lot of killing?

Not to mention Hifumi's almost as good manipulating politics as he is in a fight. Though often his politics just involves killing the other party, but putting them in an easy situation to do so takes some talent.

Hifumi kills anyone if they: try to manipulate him, get in his way, or show hostility toward him. On the other hand, as long as you don't do any of those things, he couldn't care less what they do.

There are some exceptions, but those are generally only done if he plans to use the person for his goal. Also, he only killed the king and several knights when he left the castle the first time.

He comes back later and kills the queen and a third of the First Knight Division, with another third swearing loyalty and the remainder fleeing. This makes him sad since the forces are too even for his liking; he wants to be on the disadvantageous side.

His goal IS murder. He wants to kill, he wants to fight, he wants war. Everything he does is to get there. No one in the setting can understand his ideology of killing as a goal instead of a means. That doesn't mean he indiscriminately kills, though.

The MC is a straight-up villain protagonist. He has a code of sorts, but he's still pretty much a serial killer just looking for an excuse to vent.

She separates from them after they get freed from slavery (Hifumi didn't ever actually mind releasing them from slavery at practically any point) because she can't handle all the killing. Origa stays with Hifumi because she still wants to have her revenge, and she started to hold feelings for Hifumi.

Later, the princess and Pajo (or whatever it is, the female knight) recruit Kasha and have her go back and spy on Hifumi. They planned to have her signal them with a magic item if Hifumi ever got seriously wounded in battle so they could finish him off. She accepts because she thinks Origa staying with Hifumi is a bad influence to her. Well, she's not wrong?

Hifumi sees through this from the start because Kasha's a bad actor and not the sharpest tool in the shed. He purposely gets wounded and plays the 'I'm dying' schtick and she signals the knights. While Hifumi is being "treated", Kasha reveals to Origa what she really came for and they fight, and Origa fatally wounds her. Origa wants to heal her, but Kasha tells Hifumi to just let her die for being an idiot and he does.

Incidentally, Hifumi also kills 20 knights from the Third Division barehanded, and quickly finishes off Pajo. As they left proof behind they were trying to kill Hifumi, he decides to use this to manipulate the princess to entering the fight to become the new ruler of the kingdom instead of her younger brother, the prince. He wants her to became the new ruler to train up soldiers that can actually put up a fight and spread the arts of war around the world. The queen, having sided with the prince, tries to kill the princess and Hifumi kills her and essentially ruins the First Knight Division while he was at it.

The princess has ran out of means to oppose Hifumi and has essentially given up, since he has several achievements by this points and is generally regarded as a hero for his war exploits.

I haven't gotten far enough to know what happens to the prince yet, but according the princess, the prince isn't ambitious to begin with and she personally wants to keep her brother out of harm's way. Though Hifumi has absolutely no problem killing the prince if he does decide to try to become king.

the main character is just straight up villain. pure unadulterated evil.
but he doesn't view himself as evil. he's basically a mad scientist who will kill a large amount of people to get experiment data.
basically the main characters reincarnated after he died and now he never wants to die again so he's getting some kind of obsession with seeking immortality.
he will use any means to experiment. and has he's growing up as a kid he bought slaves and then murdered them to test drugs and Magic.
there is no Demon Lord in the series but if there was one it would be him.
and ironically the magic he's proficient at his healing magic to save lives.(his life)
this series can get pretty brutal. He also genetically altered his yandere maid you personally raised from childhood to the point where she's equal to a hero and the demon lord.(if there was one).
main character also resorts heavily on mind control, brain surgery and and outright mind break

I dont know if you guys have noticed but every chapter(or most of them) of the WN is named after a very famous song ranging from artists like Coldplay, Linkin Park,Queen, Eminem,Bon Jovi, Bob Marley and many other big artists.
I automatically become a fan of authors who listen to good music! XD
