Synopsis

Okay, it’s really just a bunch of slippery leaders and their deceptive emperor having a fun time saving the world everyday.

An unmotivated otaku is transformed into the Emperor of an ancient intergalactic magic sci-fi empire, and with the aura of a stay-at-home dad, he is similar to an uncle who adopts an army of lolis. This is the hilarious story of an otaku and his freeloading army that appeared out of nowhere. Once again, this is a super serious story. This is a super-ultra-serious sci-fi story.



My synopsis
It's a story of a Intergalactic Empire doing Intergalactic things.
It's got everything a man wants.
Super science, Magic, lolies, no redundant fights, no endless repetitive cultivating, no random stupid fights between stupid for stupid rereaso,
Did I mention lollies?
We got magic lolies, we got science lolies, we got crystal lolies, we got war crazy lolies, planet buster lolis, we got lolies the size of actual planets. We got God lolis, we got God Slayer lolies, we got Cosmic horror lolis,
All the lolis you can imagine.......... wait this isn't the topic of the story

Knowing this, the story was impressive, one of the very rare of Chinese novel that i think outdoes Jp novel in most area including world building and settings but truth to be told, it is greatly outdone by it's own sequel, Abnormal creature observation records.

Yes it does, I mean, it is a kind of sequel with different character and happened really long after the end of xiling empire, one things that I like Observation records better was the nature of conflicts . The Point is that the problem in Observation record are far more simple in nature, but yet much more complex to solve. Basically, it is a situation where literally no one is at wrong, and yet they have no other choice but to fight, there was also the part where an entire species is in danger just because they have bad luck.

Yes there are cameo, but the emperor is only mentioned and we see clones of character in prequel. It's much better and easier to treat them as 2 separate work in the same universe. I called it sequel since MC is working for the empire in the sequel

1. Is the MC OP?
hard to say, rather than the MC being OP, it's better to say that the technology themselves are OP, MC just operated it and people in the same empire also have access to the same technology. In Observation records however, the MC is dealing with lower level culture so the Empire technology is rather OP but as he is limited to the rule he can't use more powerful weapon unless extreme situation Occur. So you could say he is relatively OP

2. Is this a harem?
Xiling is kinda yes, OR is hard to say since it still ongoing. Both novel don't put it main point there. SO unless at the very end, it hard to say it is a harem or not. But for now OR don't show much harem progression.

3. Is there snusnu in this novel?
Offscreen or kinda skipped over in Xiling. there are no snusnu in OR now though. The books main point isn't there. The story itself is closer to a JP LN over Chinese WN

IT's hard to say, OR have best girl ever but no lolies and Xiling have many lolies. And as much as I don't want to admit it .... our taste are pretty similar so you will probably found OR to be better.

TBH, I recommended OR over Xilin, beside the lacks of lolies which is rather fatal to us all, OR pretty much outdone Xiling in everything. The author also fixed his problem of overused jokes in OR. If anything, one problem in OR that I found in OR is due to too much variables characters, so you are bound to find someone that you found really annoying in OR though.

If there's one thing I do love is the bullshit amount of power the Empire soldiers have. Every single one of them even to the lowest level guys are capable of waging a single one man war against an entire world. even mid class soldiers are practically Gods themselves
