as much as i hate NTR, it kind of a common trope in shoujo, or should you said, fauxNTR, happen a lot just to create more drama. There are also some deliberate one if the original hero is a douche or done something to MC in the past, or just author taste change.

Looks like we're to going to find out more about Sylvan's past. Noel and Luka desperately wants to apologized to each other, but some personal things get in their way. The gap between the rich and poor are far worse than Wadell Selam and the poor pretty much lives in slums. The poor very much resent the wealthy residents of the country. One of the kids from the slum decides to act out their frustration against the royal family and removes a danger sign from the road that Luka and co is walking. This causes Noel to fall into a chasm, but Luka managed to grab her and they both fell into a river. They then decided to take refuge in a cabin close to the river. Thanks to Brafine's very cold weather and the fact that their clothes are both wet, both are slowly freezing. The chapter ends as Luka tells Noel they need to take off their clothes
