my vote was for byakuya, he deserves it for cool actitude and his awesome bankai!

If it's from this list, either Ukitake(13th) or Toshirou. However, if it wasn't, Ichigo would make a real good Captain.

Ichigo hasn't shown any leadership potential, in my opinion.

His will is broken rather easily as shown in the anime, and that would have disasterous results on the morale of any squad he would've led.

I personally love his simple-handed approach to combat.

Demon Arts? No worries, blow it away/absorb it with reiatsu.
Getting cut? No worries, tank it with reiatsu.
Illusions? No worries, reiatsu.

He's the equivalent of a giant hammer irl. srsly.

Zaraki Kenpachi (11th Division) without him bleach sucks
he is funny ...strong ...make me laugh
so he my favorite captain
and I don't want to forget about Aizen Sousuke & Hitsugaya Toushiro &Ichimaru Gin

but that doesn't mean that i hate other captains

Definatly Kenpachi, I love his style of fighting, and comments like
"Sanity? I didnt have something like that in the first place." or something to that extent. my 2nd would be Soi Fon, she is awesome.

It was hard for me to vote but my vote goes to shunsui this time because to me its like his head is always in the right place thus thats why i think he is among one of the most civilised captain there is and one of the strongest. i still think greatly of byakuya..generally because his squad seems pretty stable, followed by unohana because of her contribution to gotei 13 which is vital because a lot of characters wouldn't have make it alive if it wasn't for her and her division and ofcourse because she is hot ^-^. last but not least ichimaru gin because he is uber cool :P
