Premise/Plot Summary

This 4-koma style manga features Yoshiko, a genuinely stupid girl (she can even manage to get all 0's on multiple choice tests). She hangs out at school with her childhood friend, who she claims to like, and he has to put up with all her ridiculous behavior!

Aho Girl is getting a TV anime adaptation. Studio is Diomedia and Kusakawa Keizō will be director.

Well, yeah..
It was fun, but thankfully it is only ~12mins each episode. Any longer and I would think I would stopped. You can really see it that it was adopted from a 4koma, it is really quick adn to the point.

I didn't think Hiroyuki would get an anime with less budget than Doujin Works, but... Damn, the OP doesn't move. Yoshiko's voice was a bit more high than I expected, but other than that, it was generally what I expected. I was worried that it would be only 5 minutes or something, so I'm glad it at least had 12 minutes.

Yeah, I don't care I'm laughing AT the childhood friend, but that was extremely hilarious! The deadpan of Tomokazu Seki really sets up the joke, and a little extreme violence just pushes it over the top. So many times its the guy who always gets pummeled by the heroine, but seeing it the other way around is like 100x funnier since it's just so rare. Just a shame this can be seen as misogynistic, as otherwise it's ROFLcopter territory through and through.

I'm glad for these shorts, because with Tsurezure Children, they cast popular VAs in roles they don't usually act for. Who would've thought that Aoi Yuuki of all people would be behind this genki baka girl? Sure she betrays her voice in some low parts, but you wouldn't otherwise know it was her. Off the top of my head, she only did roles like this twice before: in Bentou as Oshiroi and in Blazblue as one of the facets of Platinum. Really goes to show that her role as Murasaki almost a decade ago has great impact on the roles she is typecast.

On the other hand, they are still shorts... but I guess not every comedy can get the budget of Saiki.

this is one of the harem comedy with a enjoy, basically the guy wil get a "a-ho(idiot) girls harem lol and the mc is a merciless loner with bad maners which make him have no "friends" besides his idiot childhood monkey girl friend which will do anything for "bananas" lol, i really liked this short 4 koma, the serie gonna be really funny one seeying the guy have to deal with many idiot girls, specially the monkey main girl.

well one good thing is which after the guy graduate from school he can try the "wrestler career'

, after all this years of training "hard with" the girl

Wait, aren't all female SOL protagonists airheads these days? It's a little depressing that we're happy with such low expectations, although I like SOL anime, and the dippy characters. They're usually innocent all-loving heroes, while this girl is like Yasuna from Kill Me Baby!, a genuine idiotic toe-rag. The male-on-female violence is frequent enough to be desensitisingly absurd, but a character whose only characteristic is irritating idiocy isn't my cup of tea.

Not at all. Lots of the other characters are more entertaining. The entertainment of that main girl is mostly about how others deal with her; she's like a force of nature: you don't fall in love with the storm of stupidity blowing through the town, you fall in love with the people trying to endure it until it blows over. I can't get enough of the looks on the faces of bystanders as Yoshiko talks about whether she has skid marks on her panties and when she wound up getting the PMCC to ask if she was being offered to eat an "indecent banana". Bonus that this world's "big boob" character is still reasonable in size. We don't need H cups to get the point that a girl's chest is larger than average.

And to be honest, while I suspect that Akkun is going to be stuck paired with Yoshiko, frankly I'd rather see him with either the PMCC or Sayaka. Actually, Sayaka's my number 1 for girlfriend material.

However it gets very repetitive after a while...

which is what happened to the manga and why I dropped it.

I'll watch the anime for a while and see how it goes.

Eh, the comedy of this show so far is mixed for me. The banana jokes and dialogues just feels sounds awkward. Hope it improves but so far, I'm not feeling it. The OP song also feels lazily animated imo.
