If a girl blushes over 2 girls looking intimate, then you gotta think lesbian. I really haven't seen too many straight female yuri fans. This is not something in reality a straight girl would blush over imo.

Since the manga panels are up, I still think Mugi is a yuri fangirl at the very minimum. What about a poll later on in the series to see how many of us actually think Mugi is a lesbian? This would make her KyoAni's first lesbian character, right?

To the "Mugi is my waifu" folks out there, just think of her as bi.

I also think that it would be funny if they do a heavy metal song.

Now you see gay characters but not too many lesbian or transsexuals in a mainstream title. It is interesting to ponder.

Particularly in single sex schools, you'll see "girl crushes" and just lots of bonding/hugging, etc. But you'll see the same thing in coed schools as well. Often when I'm at the school, the hallway looks like a ferret frenzy with all the glomping, hugging, handholding, etc. Labeling all of that as yuri/lesbian/whatever is largely just wishful thinking.

Haven't said much about this series yet ... still percolating the first few episodes.

I laughed especially when Yui's voice broke, and I just knew Mio would end up doing the lyrics..

I can't wait for their first live performance next week, it's gonna rock.

No, Japan is not full of yuri, thank you. It's an anime/manga fad, and not a generaized "Japanese thing".

I will add though, it would be awesome if it was true.

Actually, her phone looks closer to the HTC tilt.


By Sony Ericcson Walkman, I'm assuming you're talking either about the popular w580i, or the current W395?
w580i is a very thin model, her phone doesn't look like it. W395 is thicker and sturdier, but her phone definitly has the thickness closer to the HTC smartphone line up.

Edit: Ah, found it. Mio's phone is likely DoCoMo FOMA D902i.

FOMA 902i isn't as thick as what's shown in the anime, but the front design is almost identical. It's probably "a phone that resembles 902i"
