man i loved this series from beginning to end. diffidently one of my favorite shows this season. ending was pretty damn good imo. it was pretty awesome when alphard shot her own arm off and survived. cant have the most badass villian dieing. also that one guy turning into a monk was unexpected but frikken awesome too and that initial d driving was back again lol. yun yun doing her own thing was amusing as usual but my favorite part was being able to see canaan look somewhat similar to alphard in the end assigned to kill her again was awesome. i especially liked the bgm too and animation was great.

The series fulfilled his objectives of entertainment. Nice animation and great characters, I don't need anything else.

I loved the serie and I really loved the end. All the scene of Alphard x Canaan was fucking amazing. I dont have words to describe it. The scene of Alphard shooting herself...

Alphard... How a person can be this amazing? One of my favorite carachters ever.

In the end I think that Canaan grown up. She made the right decision to be "far" from Maria, her world is too dangerous for Maria, and if you love someone, you dont want that he is in dangerous..

After credits.. CANAAN SUPA SEXY! Fuck! That Alphard ponytail make her hot!
And I really that think will have a second season or a OVA...

Series was good. I came into the series with low expectations as another "bang bang kill lovey-dovey" type, but it turned out all right.

No. The movies are just recap of the 13 episodes.

That would be Tomatsu Haruka's Japanese idea of a comic Chinese accent. I enjoyed it, too, even though I am always leery of Japanese images of China.

I thought this show was kind of confused, but most of the characters were good, and the fighting was good, even if it was unrealistic. Alphard's dramatic move reminded me of the mountain climber in the US who had his arm trapped under a huge rock and cut his own arm off (at the wrist, I think) with a pen-knife to get himself free.

I liked Maria, especially as voiced by Nanjou Yoshino (Koko in Da Capo 2).

I'm happy for P.A. Works if this show succeeds. Their only other show was true tears. The first DVD doesn't come out until 21 October, and I can't find any TV ratings.

Canaan is no different than Alphard. She's killing people. She let someone like Alphard run free. If Canaan was expecting Alphard to change, boy was she wrong.

As for Cummings, I really liked his character. At first, I thought he was the cold intelligent-type, and will serve as the primary antagonist, but then I got to really know his character, and his intentions were driven by the power of "love". I'm glad he didn't get killed off in the end. A monk was a good decision =)

I feel that ending the series with Alphard not dying is kind of off. I mean I am kind of happy that she survived (she's the only "interesting" character who survived). But with all the deaths she caused.....it's really just odd.

Not to mention that Natsume is getting off scott-free with her triple crossing. Hell if Canaan knew about her nearly killing Maria.....that last conversation would have been verrrrry different.

That said I found Cummings and Liang to be the most interesting characters. Liang was crazy but just very entertaining to watch. Cummings was loyal and yes, the monk ending was very good.

Just saw the ending and it was really good like everybody here has been saying. They did a good job for an ending episode. Alphard was the best and most interesting character that this show had to offer at least in my opinion. In the end Alphard was just lonely and missed Siam and she wanted to be free from his ghost. Good thing she survived because if there was a season 2 and there was no Alphard it probably wouldn't be the same.

I like how Canaan was showed in the end she had the same hairstyle as Alphard, but also when they showed Alphard at the train station her hair was down like Canaan's hair.

Damn its sad that Canaan is over, I will miss you Alphard.

Episode 13 made me cry TT_________________TT

For Alphard, that is. It's true that Alphard's breaking-down came a bit too quickly for my liking and Yun Yun's EXTRAORDINARY RESCUE made me go "WUT?!", but on the overall, it was quite good. Maybe a bit rushed but still good.

The reason why I cried was how, ultimately, I have come to realise how lonely and pitiful Alphard was. She was cursed by Siam the very day he took her under his wing.

Kudos to Sakamoto Maaya for breathing life into this excellent character.

I actually found myself thinking that if Alphard's was another certain type moon lady who was voiced by the same voice actor, the the fights would have gotten very differently. Kara no Kyoukai-Canaan crossover?

While I think that Shiki would win as well, I still think it'd be a hell of a fight. Unfortunately for Canaan though, I'm pretty sure Shiki can dodge bullets.

Eh, I think Canaan could win that one because of her impeccable aim because of synesthesia. If she really wanted to, she probably could have finished off Alphard a dozen times over when she was at that highest heightened state.
