Episode 3:

In this episode Pafu causes trouble by being a fluffbrain, then gets out of trouble by being adorable and loyal. Standard fairy behavior.

I liked how Kisaragi got caught up in the battle and ended up meeting the Cures without being the victim of the week. Usuaully civilians exist only the run away screaming from the monsters, and to become victims, and that tends to lead to a strange feeling of disconnection in my mind. As if ordinary people and Precures exist sort of on different planes of reality that only intersect when a person becomes the victim of the week. Having a girl meet the Cures without being the victim helps things feel more... grounded? I can't think of the term. But it makes the Cures feel more like they're a part of that world.

It looks like we meet the third girl next week, and she looks like fun. Can't wait.

What i really like about the new season is the "academy rules", just how much they imply and rely on the dignity of all the students. That's what i was looking for - for girls to get more noble - and they delivered that much. And, surprisingly, with an attitude completely different from, say, Lady Jewelpet, but still very curious. So i still clearly like the new season, the guys seem to know what they're doing.

Ep 04

And finally the last of the trio goes into transform mode - Cure Twinkle. And she is a tough, no-nonsense sort of person to be sure, very strong willed and driven. She also has a very normal, friendly and sweet side to her. However, the down side from the point of view of becoming a PreCure is that she puts her own goals ahead of the "common good". Perhaps not consciously, but her ambition makes it harder to see how important the work of the PreCures is.

The world as a whole needs to be protected or else there will be no environment in which she can pursue her dreams. Cure Flora and Cure Mermaid seem to have been able to grasp that fact quicker, and though it may take another ep or two for Twinkle to see that, when she does her single-midedness will be a huge plus, no doubt! ^^

As an aside, I chuckled a couple of times when Hibiku Yamamura (Kirara / Cure twinkle, who also voices Haruna in Arpeggio of Blue Steel) calls Haruka "HaruHaru" in this episode.

The new girls are very cleanly written out, i enjoy that a lot, so i just wanted to say something good about these girls.

Haruharu~~, unlike your typical pink lead, is a lot more of a "seeking" kind of person who consciously tries to figure things out and improve upon herself, which puts her closer to Tsubomi in a way, and also lets us continuously observe every emotional movement of hers; but a combination of such attitude with an overally cheerful personality is something i cannot instantly recall seeing anywhere, and it makes me want to know more about this person.

Minaminami~~ greatly balances her, with a relatively standard personality for a blue girl (the best blue girl i remember so far was in shugo chara, but meh...), though already a lot more detailed than usual; the way she demonstrates excellence in putting complicated matters into simple words and maintaining her grace and creativity in pretty much every action, becomes a great lesson to Haruharuharu, on the other hand the way she happily enjoys the company of her new friend indicates that she herself is gaining and learning a lot from this experience.

And here comes Kirararararara~~, which is a fantastic composition of behavior based on a positively-egoistic viewpoint of never letting go of your own dreams, as long as they are good and selfless enough to be chased, regardless of whatever other thing you may be qualified or even forced to become, yet with an entertaining and friendly nature is an awesome thing to start with, and i'm looking forward to see what other sides of her would unveil when she inevitably will try out new stuff.

It's often said that anime characters behave dumbly and unrealistically, especially often so about mahou shoujo girls, but in this show they just make so much sense to me that, despite seeing what their weaknesses are portrait to be as a viewer, i would not, any time soon, get any close to criticize them for their decisions. The world would already be a great place to live in if people like these girls were to fill it. We're not just seeing stupid girls become clever and eventually win, but we're expecting to see awesome girls becoming even more awesome and da'hell unleashed!

These guys clearly have a lot more to say on the subject.

Long time no see guys, I have a lot cover, OK here goes.

My Mini Princess Review Episode 1:

Pros: The Music, Once again it's strong this year. Beginning with The OP all through the way to the ED, It really grabs the "royal" tone of the show
Pros: The animation is breathtaking to look at
Pros: Haruaka is awkward and Lovable
Pros: Close from The Dys Dark look and act like villains
Pros: The Fight scene was not like anything you seen from precure.

A+Overall: Best Precure Premiere in a long time.

My Mini Review For GoPuri Episode 2

Pro: It's nice to see the episode start off exactly where the last one left off.
Pro: Haruka funny faces LOL, and the ballerina sub-plot.
Pro: It's very Interesting that the Dress Up Keys chooses the person to be a precure, Hmmmm....
Pro: Minami, She's strict but very protective to others and willing to risk her life for another.
Pro: The fight Scenes continue to amazes me.

Con: No Kirara, BOOOO!!!
Con: We still haven't seen all the villains, Hell we don't even see their lair yet.

Overall: B+, This was a great introduction for Cure Mermaid and some development for Haruka.

My Mini Episode 3 Review

Pros: It's great to see continuity, Students are still amazed that Haruka is friends with Minami
Pros: Pafu Throughout the episode, CUTENESS and BRAVE.
Pros: Shut, The Second of The Three Musketeers. He's a Classy Narcissist and Evil. He Reminds me of Cobraja
Pros: Shut and Close Rivalry, They such a contrast, I hope they continue this.

Mixed: The Plot of the episode was silly but Enjoyable.
Mixed: The Animation in the fight was a little weak.

Cons: That transformation scene was ridiculously long, The Desborgs would have everything in rubble by the time the girls would be done.

Overall: C +, An OK episode for the first filler.

My Mini Episode 4 Review:

Pros: It's nice to see the cures leave noble academy for a change
Pros: Flora and Mermaid transformation was short and sweet.
Pros: Kirara sasses and bravery through out the episode
Pros: Again. Two Monsters in one episode, God I love this season
Pros: Kirara Transformation and Attacks, I know a star when I see one.
Pros: The ending was gold.

Overall: A+, The anticipated episode delivered at all places.

Next time: Precure Assemble (Ironically in the fifth episode) See you there.

Well, that's kinda slow-motion/time-stop anyway, as usual (i.e. as shown once or twice in `fresh', precure henshins do not actually take longer than "switch over")?

Saying it with the inherent recognition that Happiness Charge was an exception to some of the standard Precure tropes, that being one of them.

That hasn't really been presented to her. All she really knows at this point is that monsters have showed up to wreck her performances twice while looking for a magical artifact. What the monsters are, why they're really there, what they're actually trying to accomplish, what danger they pose beyond the immediate; she's got none of that. Give the magical artifact to the people capable of fighting the monsters and make sure the monsters know she did it: problem solved, so far as she knows.

My Mini Episode 5 Review

Pros: Kirara even Give a nickname to Minami, "Minamin" LOL
Pros: Great character moments throughout the episode, The Model Trip, Kirara and Minami hallway conversation and kirara running to battle, Kudos to the writer of the episode!!!
Pros: The Zetsuborg was Interesting, using math as a weapon, clever!!!!
Pros: We finally hear Dyspear, She sounds like a force to be reckoned with
Pros: Ending Shot, fulling to all three dress up keys together

Overall: A+, This season is continues to amaze, The had everything you want from a precure episode!!!

Haruka is late (early morning jogging training to be a Precure)..... and is about to receive the punishment of explusion (until the student council president intervened). Haruka asks the president to teach her ballet... and she agreed (because it's too hard to approach a celebrity). Haruka is happy to be near her celebrity and the president is happy that she's being approached. The president finds out her secret- or not, she's a fellow Precure too, Cure Mermaid (and she can swim in water too).
